Excellent! Bought instead of the instapot!
I stayed with some friends and they had an instapot. I have trouble cooking because I have a spinal cord injury so standing more than 1-2 minutes is difficult. Cooking is hard. But my friends had an instapot and I saw how easy It was good to use, and I got very excited because I thought that I could possibly start having real healthy meals again - Throw stuff in a pot, hit the button and then an hour later it’s ready to eat. However they were a little bit more money then I was able to spend. The night I got home from the house my friend saw that there was an Amazon deal on Insta pots. I got really excited, put it in the car and realized I didn’t have quite enough money. This was at 10 o’clock at night. I knew that I was going to have money posting at six in the morning. The deal said that it was good for another like 19 hours. I set my alarm for six, and got up and was super excited order it. And they were sold out. I was super bummed. But I had my heart set on an Insta pot so I started doing research and found this brand. It seemed a comparable possibly even better, and much lower price. I ordered it and I’m not sorry at all. It has been very easy to use just like three views. I’ve had a few weeks now so I can’t see how the longevity of it is, but I can say that it’s very easy for me to throw rice in or meat or vegetables. I only have to stand for a minute or two to do those Recipes, and I already feel better from eating healthier. I even was able to cook baked beans which I love and I’ve always wanted to do and could not get a batch of beans to turn out in the crockpot. This was very easy to use, the instructions broke down the steps in a very easy to use format. The preset buttons make it very easy to understand, but also it allows you the freedom of picking out manual settings which I’m sure I will want to do once I get more experience with it. It seems like a quality made product and I love the ease of use! Only thing bad I can say is that I wish I had discovered this before!UPDATE: so, I broke it. 😭. I was exhausted and poured spaghetti sauce in when the inner pot wasn’t in it (was in the dishwasher) and couldn’t get all the tomatoe chunks out of the electronics. This has been my lifeline. I haven’t been able to cook for myself in years and now I can make some stuff! I was so upset my mom got on amazon and ironically a bigger 8 quart brand name one that was on special deal day for sale at pretty much half price and she sent it to me. Yay!!! So grateful to my kind mom! But.I don’t love the new well heard of brand name one like I loved my Potastic.I’m writing here to say that Postasticin my opinion is a Much superior product. At least to me it is. I am having a really hard time learning the controls on the new one. With the potastic it was intuitive. I’m not here to give a bad review about the other well heard of brand, I’m just hear to say that when I was considering this brand I thought I was maybe getting a lessor product. Now that I Have the Other brand I Really miss this one and wanted to comment that I like the Potastic Much better. The controls are more intuitive, the quick release was easier and seemed safer to me. It also came with more assessories - which was fantastic because none came with the new brand except the trivet. Which also was so low any meat on it is right at the bottom instead of up a little so you can put stuff underneath it/steam it. It also seems sturdier made.So for all you out there trying to save money and are unsure if you should try this brand, I would Highly recommend it!!

Love this appliance!
This is great. Have only fixed roast beef brisket and a few things in it, but omg... easy, hands off cooking fast... love it... cooked all day flavor in 1-2 hours... gotta love it... may try to make pho... see how that goes. I did not read all the directions yet, so maybe there IS a way, but so far have yet to be able to programe for over 59 mins at a time, probably me tho (I'll update if I read that part and figure out how to do/if it does) But easy enough to just go 21 more mins once it sounds, or w/e is req'd for that recipe.Update: Had for a while now, use all the time (maybe a bit less come summer tho) still loive it saw some people in reviews talking about error messages. I have had it happen a couple times, let it cool dopwn some and unplugged for a minute or two, plug back in, right as rain.Cannot really use much/for long w/o a fair bit of moisture in there. I use the saute for a bit, but it can get too hot and be an issue if not tended to in this regard. Once there's liquid (at least a cup) in there tho and you have cleared the browned bottom (from saute feature) and put lid on and put time in let it rip w/o paying a bit of attn to it NP.Kinda bummed out this model no longer really available. It's great. (Have yet to attack Pho in it yet tho, but have found recipes I have to use that OTHER pot's name in " marks w/ recipe then w/e I'm hoping to make. But there are PLENTY online!

I love this pot
This pot is easy to use and I can use it for many different things. It is easy to clean. I don't use the regular pressure cooker any more. It is a slow cooker, pressure cooker, soup maker. I love it. I have given it as a gift and they love it also. This pot is well worth the money. It is a time saver and easy to use. I gave it a 5 stars for flavor even though it is a machine and not food. How can a pot have flavor? The food that comes out of it is a 5 for flavor. I love that you can program it to your own time table in hours and minutes for cooking on slow cook. Many uses.

Enjoying it.
Have not had it long-just a few days. Have made vegetable soup and cooked a whole chicken. Everything seems to be working right and the food was delicious.

Handy
The Potastic EP6 looks to be equivalent in features to the 6 qt. Instant Pot Duo Plus, but currently priced the same as the non-Plus IP. I've used in 6 or 7 times so far and it works fine. It seems well-made. The lid and inner pot are quite hefty. The LCD display is clear, although the "bar graph" display is a bit gimmicky. Along with the trivet and ubiquitous plastic utensils, it also comes with a spare sealing ring and a pair of silicon grippers, which are actually useful. The instruction book, quick start guide and quick reference are all nicely done. Time will tell how the pot holds up. Failed electronics seems to be the main cause of early death of these computerized cookers.

Nice machine!
This is a nice pressure cooker, it's easy to use and easy to clean. I love the high quality stainless steel inner bowl. It does cook fast and it's easy to release the pressure valve, and I love the silicone mitts that are included to protect you from burns from the steam. It is very solid and has lots of safety features. It doesn't seem to have a lot of steam to deal with either. I also like that the Instant Pot recipes work the same in this machine. I'm glad I bought this one!

DEFECTIVE OUT OF THE BOX
I opened the box, followed the owner's manual and removed everything, washed the inner pot before first use. Put three cups of water in the unit and set to steam per owner's manual. Unit started heating and then got a ERR 5 message. According to the manual this is a low pressure sensor failure. Instructions for this (and all the other 4 ERR messages) is to immediately contact customer service. Only there apparently is no customer service. The phone is busy 24x7 (as if off the hook?) and there has been no response to two (so far) emails. Lousy customer service - actually appears to be non-existent customer service. I just want a working unit - I would return to seller for replacement, except I need RMA to do so and they won't answer the phone or email to give me one!
