Pass Through RJ45 RJ11, RJ12, Cat6a cat7 / 10Gig HD Crimp Tool is designed for the professional installer providing a ratcheted, high leverage, ultra stable platform for consistent, repeatable terminations. Reliable, effective, efficient all-in-one HD quality crimp tool strips and crimps fast. Reliable modular-crimp connector installation. This heavy duty tool is also perfect solution when working with high performance, larger OD cable that are tougher to terminate due to larger wire gauges, thicker, harder insulation on the conductors and pair separating splines. You will overcome these connectivity obstacles, and you can be assured that every termination will meet FCC specifications. Designed for large dimensional size cables. These crimping tools are for connectors regular or Pass Through Cat 6a, Cat 7, or over-sized Cat6 connectors. Suitable for wire installation into network and compatible telecommunication equipment. High quality professional crimping pliers tool for easy operation. Long lifetime multi-function crimp stripper tool/crimping/stripping tool/wire stripper pliers for Cat 6 a, Cat 7, or over-sized Cat6 modular plugs connectors.

Buy this for shielded CAT6a connectors
I’m disappointed I had to buy this crimper because I already had a nice Klein Tools crimper that looked exactly like this... but!... you NEED THIS FOR CAT6a RJ45 CONNECTORS. Other crimpers have a metal bar which punches down the plastic strain relief tab on the connector... this does not exist on connectors for shielded CAT6a and if you crimp using a regular tool, you WILL damage your cables and very likely cause a short... like I did :/This is one of two crimpers I purchased recently to try out for CAT6a RJ45 connectors. Both are similar to the Platinum Tools... which is the only “brand” crimper currently that can crimp shielded CAT6a and the only reason I will mention it several times or reference it. The other tool I tried has a chrome body and is VERY similar with the only exceptions being the chrome finish and that this one has the cut-off for the pass-through wires which is a must have for me and why I kept this crimper and returned the other one. This tool is built solid, feels, weighs and looks to be built very similar to my Klein Tools crimper. The only downfall with the design is the crimper built into the handle for crimping the metal strain relief/grounding tab. It’s exactly the same as the other tools but that doesn’t change the fact that the design is just not right for a thick cable. You can probably use it if you were using a cat5 cable with a drain wire, but it definitely will crush the crimp tabs poorly and deform them for any 23 gauge CAT6a.Nearly identical to the Platinum Tools Teletitan (highly rated by networking nerds) but $20 less and this specific tool has an additional toggle switch to disengage the tab which crimps the strain relief on regular connectors... and where the Platinum Tools crimper comes up short, this crimper has the pass-through wire cutter.A little background....Using my Klein Tools RJ45 crimper, we installed all the networking cables for my new shop using thick 23 gauge CAT6a and some shielded CAT6a RJ45 connectors. Everything tests fine on my network tester but we were having a lot of intermittent issues with some of the cables. After a bunch of troubleshooting, scratching our heads and redoing connectors and keystones... we finally figured out the culprit. The freakin tool! Seems to be a little known issue in the industry at the moment as CAT6a becomes more of a standard and more people switch over to it... but we noticed a few people mentioning the crimper and pointing to the Platinum Tools Tele Titan as the solution. Problem is that tool is insanely overpriced and the only difference is one little push bar. You technically COULD modify your existing crimper by cutting/grinding that particular tab off. Then you won’t need to buy this tool. But.. you won’t be able to properly crimp the old connectors anymore either since you’ll be missing the little bar which pushes down on the strain relief part. If you want to do it right, spend the $40 on this tool and then you’ll have the option of crimping whichever connector you want.

It works !!!!!!
I'm a low voltage tech. and I always look for the best tools. Terminating Cat 5 and 6 wires are always time consuming. This tool definitely speeds things up a bit. The fact that it cuts the pass thru slack off is a huge bonus.

Compact and easy to use.
Great for the money. If you use pass-thru RJ45 connector, it is much better than other camps. It is very compact when closed the handle.

Tried and true
Its burly but kinda finicky. It's better used with indoor cable , rather than outdoor. The stripping part isnt ideal but they are great backups
