S&B Wasabi Powder, 1.06-Ounce

The title is in response to the review that claimed there was neither. Either that person has extremely resistant flavor glands or something else is going on. I mixed mine a bit different than the instructions read. It read 5 teaspoons of powder to 3 teaspoons of water. Three and three seemed like plenty for one mix and it was. It really has a nice kick. I’ll be using more tonight after it sat in the fridge over 24 hours so I’m thinking it will be stronger..

I read all the reviews that say not real Wasabi etc. I honestly don't care if it has any real Wasabi in it or not I was looking for a certain flavor, the kind you get at the better sushi places up and down the west coast. I tried a number of different powders from Amazon but they were either too bitter or they had no zing to them and tasted like colored cornstarch. This one is the first one I have found that has that west coast restaurant taste with no bitterness and plenty of zest to it so you get a lot of flavor. I mix it with a tiny bit of water, make a paste and then let it sit for 10 - 15 minutes and then use it. It's exactly the right flavor I have been looking for, really glad I tried this one and I will be ordering it again.

It's a necessary part of a sushi platter, and I make sushi. I look for this brand because S&B does things well.

Nice to have a powder that you can just mix up whenever needing it . Just add water and mix and serve. You can alter the strength somewhat by the amount of water you add. Very convenient.
