I am very picky about frames, mostly because my father was an art professor and ran the College's gallery where we lived. In the blood, I guess. Anyhow, I needed something for photos of my mother(99) and her sister (102). Both drank bourbon and proud of it. They both passed away last year and this frame is PERFECT. I ordered the second one for their photo having their drink together because it had to be special. This frame is. Bravo.

These are well-made frames that are very safely packaged and protected from damage. The quality mats are cut to exact size, and the glass is good double-strength, not the typical fragile thin stuff. Well worth the money - couldn't be happier.

It's made of (what I'd call) pressed paper pulp. Very similar to some of the real cheap office furniture. Not real wood, MDF, or even particle board.I was simply holding it up by the top edge of the frame and it just fell apart.Good thing I did not have the valuable document in it - it may have been damaged had this fallen off the wall.It does look nice though, but I really only got to see it in the package before it fell apart.

Golden State is a GREAT frame company. I frame my own prints by buying a stock frame and colored Mats using spray on craft glue to hold the print firmly in place. Golden State by far has the best selection of any provider and their price point is extremely reasonable. Bonus their frames are far prettier in person than as pictured on the Amazon site.

Easy enough to take apart and slide your picture in, but the wooden backboard will not fit back on. Even pushing the metal tabs as far as they would go, the backboard does not fit. I had to shave off the edges of the backboard to get it back on. Easy enough if you have a saw lying around, but if you are not a woodworker then like me you will find it a painful, messy, tedious process.

This frame has a different way of hanging that I have never seen before. I took it to a Michael’s and they told me just to lift up the flaps. Now you can use a regular hanger but I wish they had put directions to tell me how to hang it.. Otherwise, it is a very nice frame for the money

I have been searching through tons of the frames both online and Amazon and glad that I chose this frame: 16x12. My certificate is 10x14.. so with not many choices to choose from but I was able to place it over the mat and still have about 1” at each side. The frame came with glass and well built.. and the frame itself was great looking and certainly does not look cheap at all. The sawtooth hangs behind provides us with different hanging options. Thus is definitely a great buy!

Very nice frame, just didn’t look good with the photo I had purchased it for, so I returned it. But it looks like a well-made high quality frame, so I would order it again for a different photo.
