PlantLife Organic Apricot Halves 1kg – Raw, Pitted, Sun-Dried and Natural Apricots

I was a little worried about these, they look odd in the photo, but during the pandemic dried apricots were hard to get hold of for a while and I'm pregnant and needed a stash, so I baught them anyway.What a revelation! They are definitely different to any dried apricots I have tried before, but are very tasty indeed. I'll try and describe them:If you're used to the bright orange, sulphured supermarket apricots, or the semi-dry kind you keep in the fridge, these will be very different. The moisture content is more like an "eat me" date or a very dry raisin or sun-dried tomato.If you're used to "whole food" style longer life apricots, these are still very different. They are sliced in two before drying so they are thinner and seem almost crispy till you bite into them, when they are actually quite chewy.The flavour is very different to either of the above, it's much richer and more complicated, almost meaty/unami. Not as sweet, but more fulfilling. Because they are in halves you get more flavour from the heart of the fruit.They are dense, but thin. The chewiness is like "jerky" (I've only tried vegan stuff though). You can tear off a bit with your teeth fairly easily. Once in the mouth it's softer. They aren't hard to eat even if you have jaw problems. Should be fine for kids too I think.Because the moisture content is low, you get a lot of fruit per kg. But because they are in halves, it's easier not to have too many.I don't think I would go back to other kinds od apricot after these. They are very nice indeed!

Good quality dried apricots , these are around the size of a grape and are relatively juicy and soft . Comes in a resealable bag so is handy to nibble some then seal the bag up

It looks and tastes, just like it should be - very natural!! “Taste of childhood”. So pleased with this order!! Definitely I’ll order this again.. and again… and again…

I understand they are natural but they have little flavour, very chewy and expensive

They are sun dried properly without added sugar, I love them so much, constantly going to the cupboards to get more. Will buy again soon.

Warning - if you like your apricots soggy, bright orange, and without flavour then these aren't for you! However, if, like me, you like your apricots chewy, dark reddish brown, and really packed with flavour then these are definitely something you should try as they are, in my opinion, the best currently in the market.

Was really hoping for some genuinely tangy apricots based on the reviews, but they are misleading.Lots of dried apricots, but not much flavour.

Arrive VERY dehydrated, and hard to eat. When soaked, taste amazing. Good value as so little moisture present
