Great teaching story
My pre-k/ k students loved hearing the story about March. The colorful illustrations made it easy for the students to grasp the concept of storm vs nice weather. They also enjoyed the rhythmic lines and joining in the lion’s roars and booms. I see them pick it up and “read” on their own during quiet reading time. It’s been a great addition to my library.

Made a little boy smile!
A little boy in my Sunday School class once said this was one of his favorite books. He'd read it at the library. Thought it would be a neat birthday gift! He loved it!

Great March Book
I use this book to introduce the concept of "Lion or Lamb" weather on the last day of February. We then graph each lion or lamb day on a classroom chart. On the last day of March we are in school, we tally the graph to see which kind of weather we've had most of during the month.

Excellent illustrations and presentation of this saying regarding the weather ...
Checked this out so many years from the library, I figured we should own our own copy. Excellent illustrations and presentation of this saying regarding the weather of the month of March. Highly recommended as a read aloud.
