Great for on the go
I am a certified AMI Montessori teacher, and I love these cards. Normally would use the appropriate sandpaper letters on wood, but I bought these for my son because we travel a lot. He never used the standard Nienhuis (Huetink) sandpaper letters, only these cards. The sandpaper is very good, the tactical experience is perfect. I ditched the box and store them in a ziplock bag. My son knows all his sounds and we have moved onto the moveable alphabet. I am only sad they don't make these with the phonograms! I can't lug around the wooden ones, these cards have seriously been ideal.BUY THEM! If you know how to do three period lesson with your kids/ students, these cards will work just as well as the wooden ones.

the cards appear old and used
I love the design. Appears to have been good quality when produced; paper quality is good and letters are sufficiently clear and tactile. But the cards are bent, and many have stains and dents.

Appear to be used
Not the greatest quality. These will do the trick but the box came re-taped. Looks like these cards have already been used. Disappointing to pay full price when clearly these have been opened previously.

No uppercase letters available
These are not available in uppercase. Disappointed. I can’t teach lowercase without uppercase.

Don’t buy. They are used.
My cards were used and smelled.

Sturdy but could use improvement
I love the sturdiness and thickness of these cards. I love the price point, and the feeling of the sandpaper. I do have a few issues with these though. It seems that I got a used set which I’m bummed about. But more importantly, they are too busy looking for my liking. I would’ve preferred nothing on the card except for the letter (and a bigger letter) than the lines, words, and company logo. And the vowels should’ve been blue and the consonants red, not the other way around. That would’ve made it a better Montessori product. Still deciding whether to keep
