If Anything Ever Goes Wrong at the Zoo Paperback – Picture Book, May 1, 1996

I just passed on my copy of this book, which I bought for my grandchildren (who are now 20 and 17) to their 3 year old cousin. I sent this new copy with other books we loved to a friend in MD for the baby shower for her daughter/first grandchild. I hope they love it as much as we do. I highly recommend it.

I read this to 4th grade English Language Learners after they took a zoo trip. They were entranced with the watercolor art work, but also with the suspenseful story itself. Within a week the classroom teacher followed up with the student's by showing them other artist's watercolor paintings. Lastly the students created their own watercolor artwork.This is only one of many tangents for using this book as a teaching tool in the classroom or home school setting. For instance, not only art, but also activity lessons on safety around animals, special needs of animals, accepting others ideas/opinions, other watercolor artists, write to the author, etc. etc. It allows for creativity to abound. I loved it.

Such a cute story. My daughter loves it!

My kindergarten students love this book! We write a letter to a zookeeper in the same fashion this book is written in after hearing the story. Such fun!

Great book for our unit over zoos. A good book to add to any library. A good way for the children to make connections to their own zoo experiences.

Great book for Pre-k. It provided plenty o f opportunities to ask open-ended questions.

The book is worth buying just to look at the illustrations alone.Great appeal to anyone who enjoys going to the zoo or for kids planning their first trip.Captures the child's imagination with a little bit of silliness. A great book for young children to have.

The students in my classroom loved this book! I am looking forward to sharing it with other teachers and using it in the future!
