Good Directions Smithsonian Rooster Weathervane, Pure Copper

Love this Rooster Weather Vane…so cool on the top of our barn. When the sun hits it, it shines so bright. Probably should have coated it with a varnish to keep it from oxidation and showing a patina. But it’s up there now and looks amazing…it seems sturdy and really makes a statement. Spins nicely with the wind. We used a bucket truck to install it only because we had one available at the time.

We put our weather vane on top of our Gazebo because we don't have a barn. The weather vane is fantastic. The picture doesn't show how bright the copper is. And it works perfectly even with very little wind... we have lots of comments on it and other people are thinking of doing the same..

Better than expected! When we finally got it up everyone stopped, stood in amazement and said, "WOW. That is Gorgeous"

Install wasn't hard getting to the peak of my roof was harder. Rooster is still going strong and turns freely with the wind 6 months later. This was a v-day gift for the wife and she loved it. Highly recommend!

Greatly exceeded my expectations. It's large, well made and looks fabulous on our barn. Don't hesitate to purchase if you're thinking about buying it.

The first weathervane I received was broken and despite the picture (which showed all copper) the unit was green/patina. Amazon immediately replaced it without issue. The new unit was perfect, it has the uber-classic appearance. I sprayed several coats of clear-coat over the copper to help keep it looking sharp. This is a fairly large piece, my barn is 38'x48' and about 30-feet tall and the size looks perfect up there. On a small garage it may be a bit much....but then again, why not!
