I recommend reading this book.
Bravo. This book was well done. It covers a wide range of weapons in details that are easy to read and understand.. It is loaded with technical charts for people that may enjoy technobabble but the text is clear and to the point. Each topic is covered with enough information to do the job. the book is loaded with excellent quality photos and drawings. He covers the devolvement and use of each weapon carefully. The text is good size so it is also easy to read. I found the book a pleasure to read and understand. This book is good for the experience to novice learning Germany WW2 technology. It does not cover negative activities by the Nazi to make these weapons which is not any of the subjects of this book..I recommend reading this book.

Hitler's Wildest Dreams
The book covers a huge array of weapons โ from rocket-powered airplanes, submarines and missiles to anti-tank guns โ that fall within the authorโs definition of โsecretโ. Most of them are thus described superficially.Photos and illustrations are in general of good quality. Maps, though, have no scale bar. The graphs often used to compare different weapons are sometimes good and sometimes terrible. The author would benefit a lot from reading โThe Visual Display of Quantitative Informationโ.If you want an overview of the subject, this is a honest option.

Light and dry
I was hoping for some interesting analysis and insight into the German weapons program, but alas, what I got instead was a fairly superficial chronology delivered in a just-the-facts-ma'am style. This book is pretty dry and unengaging as a result. There is so much more that could have been said about the legacy that German technology left to the world, particularly to the scientific and military communities. The potential of these WWII technologies often wasn't fully realized until years later. High-performance jet aircraft, the Soviet and American space programs and precision machining were all benefactors of the German research and development that took place during WWII. It would have been nice to get a deeper perspective on this aspect of the weapons effort, but this book doesn't deliver it. Too bad. If it weren't for the pictures, I'd have rated this book even lower.

A good overview of the secret german weapons
A good overview of the secret german weapons. Half of it is dedicated to the luftwaffe from jets to the amerika bomber to prototypes of helicopters. There also description of insance projects like the Rat(a turret of twin 11inch guns) and the infamous Maus tank. The only thing I complain is that this book dosen,t show a picture of the MG-44 the first assault rifle in history.
