Fake Drawstring
The style is perfect for wearing it casually with slides or sneakers but I did not realize the drawstring does not work. It is an elastic waist with a drawstring bow sewn to the front. I am a pear-shaped size 2/4 and I sized up to the medium to accommodate my hips and I assumed I could adjust the waist using the drawstring to get the same look as the model. The elastic waist is too big so I had to sew it smaller to get that 'bloused' look. Also worth mentioning, the dress is not knee length as shown on the model. I am 5'2 and it comes above the knee. Overall, with my modifications, I am happy with this dress and may order it in other colors.
