We use this in my classroom for a number of activities, paleontology, sensory play & as a calm down tool when necessary. The children love it!

This sand is a little bit courser than what you may get in a typical sand kit set, but it has now worked well for children who enjoy kinetic sand over all. Edited my response, works well, affordable, appreciate getting a larger bag of kinetic sand.

This was an "Oh, it got great reviews and it's cheaper than the original, so why not?" moment. It's okay to play with--feels like cookie dough--but it doesn't stick to itself as well as the original, it comes apart and gets all over the table and floor unlike the original, and is harder to clean up because it doesn't stick to itself. So after one use I ended up throwing away probably 1/4 cup. At that rate, it won't last very long around here. So back to the original for us.

I thought this would be a good substitute for the brand name stuff, which is hard to find sometimes.But when we got it in, it was not only dry and tended to be too hard/crumbly to work right it also had this godawful chemical smell that made me and my son gag it was so bad. Fastest return/refund I've done in a while which is a shame.
