Great lock for the price and in terms of security level.
I've been using this lock for nearly 4 weeks now. It's a great buy for the price and in terms of level of security this lock provides. It is solid 8 mm square chair with hardened steel and anyone trying to steal your bike would know it once they touch it, so definitely a must buy for those cycling on more expensive bikes. I think 1.2 meter is the perfect length to be able to lock a mountain bike having this lock going through your front wheel, bike frame and the nearest bike rack (or whatever you lock it too). However, for bigger bikes you might consider buying a longer (1.5mm) lock as this one is just about the right size for a small bike and it even fits quite well wrapped around the top frame of my mountain bike (if I don't want to keep it in the backpack).Okay, talking about cons: there is one major to me. The locking system is not very well made, I'm not gonna lie. You've got to get used to it and it can be really annoying at times. The key has to be at a right angle when putting it into the lock so it can fit the mechanism inside. However, when it's dark I can't see it easily unless I have a light. Even in the daylight sometimes I catch myself struggling to open this f...ing lock as the key simply doesn't slide in easily ;) but I realised opening this lock is more a matter of skill you gain with time so most of times when I open it automatically everything just goes smoothly. But that's the main reason why only 4 stars.I enclosed 2 pics. Hope this review helps. Feel free to ask questions.

Great product - wrong weight
This is solid and Silver rated, which is good, however, I bought it because I wanted a lightweight lock and it says it is only 300gm / 0.3Kg. In reality - when it arrived - its about 3Kg and so is much heavier than the average lock and certainly not a light lock. Also care when you buy as there are several items for sale - all the same - but with slightly different words in the product title. Prices vary (£16 to £25) but they are all the same - worth a quick look around before you buy

Very good medium priced lock
This is a very good medium priced chain lock using 8 mm round bar links. As its medium priced it will provide medium protection which is adequate for my needs. The lock is easy to use and is smooth in operation although there seems to be a knack in giving the key a second turn which enables the chain end to be push closed, the key has to remain in till closed. The chain has a durable sleeve which protects both chain and whatever it comes in contact with.

Lightweight Oxford chain lock
like all Oxford products (I also have the oxford monster) this is robust and well made. I am using it for when I'm out and about and leaving my bike for short periods and, as long as you keep the lock mechanism off the floor, it shoukd be impervious to lump hammer attack.I may also use it for securing my MTB to keep it safe, probably overkill but I prefer a boltcutter proof product to those flimsy steel cord locksAll in all a very nice lightweight bike lock

Key stuck in lock
The key is stuck in the lock after only a few uses. This is the second Oxford lock recently this has happened with. Nothing like the older Oxford products.
