Works ok. Here are some installation tips
The cat loves his new door. His people are a little concerned because it stays open when he goes out. Luckily, it’s out to the garage, so skunks are unlikely to invite themselves in.The installation design is different from the many dog dogs we have installed. Those have bolts that cinch the front panel to the back panel, squeeIng the people-door in between. That design makes a good seal and it lasts. This cat door seems designed for a solid wooden door, where you can screw (not bolt) front panel and back panel to the door separately (not to each other), using 8 short screws (4 on each side). If you have a metal or hollow core door, try this instead. Initial prep:- follow instructions for marking and cutting out the opening- tape the cat door in place temporarily- drill 1/8” pilot holes though 8 corners - 4 each on the front and back panels- remove the cat door- then drill 1/4” holes through the 4 corners of the door. Be careful to line up the front and back holes. That will give you clearance to thread 4 long bolts through the whole cat door-people door-sandwichGo to the hardware store:- Buy 4 (or more) long #6 machine screws (actually bolts) with nuts and lock washers.- For our metal door, 3” bolts worked great. We got an $8 electricians kit of different length #6 machine screws.- You might need to drill out the plastic holes on the cat door corners a tiny bit.Final prep:- line the inside cuts on the door neatly with white duct tape (if you have a white door)- overlap the outside of the people-door with only 1/4”, or it will show- the tape will make a sealing gasket and will cover rough metal edgesFinal installation:- Carefully put both cat door panels in place. Be careful not to crunch the tape inside.- Hold cat door in place with blue tape or cheap duct tape until finished.- Thread 4 long #6 bolts through the front panel - people door - back panel.- Put the bolt *heads through the side of the door that is *flush to the wall. That way, the extra ends will be on the back side, where you are less likely to get snagged on them. Or you can ship them off- Tighten all nuts part way, then back them off one by one and- Add lock washers- Don’t tighten too tight - you don’t want to crack the cat door panels. Now your cat door tightly sandwiches the people door.Finishing touches, if you like:- cover the bolt heads with the cute little white caps provided in the kit- snip off the long bolt ends- and/or cover the bolt ends with bumpy white caps from the hardware store. You can do it!

Great value for money. No major problems
It installed easily. My cats use it going out but are reluctant to go in. Not sure why. The lock features works well but the knob is a little small. I bought the small as my full grown cats are small. The neighborhood feral cats are too big to fit which is wonderful. The door movement isn’t as smooth as it could be

Excellent cat door.
Our cats took a few days getting used to using the door but now come and go with ease.Because the panel within the house door frame is a thin piece of wood, it necessitated trimming the cat door so that it would fit properly. That took a bit of time. Once installed, it works beautifully. The cats like to stand inside and look through the transparent cat door to survey what's happening outside.

Perfect kitty door
The magnet has fallen off already, but works fine without it. I hardly ever lock it as it gives access to the basement where the litter box is, but when we need to keep the cats downstairs...the locking feature is nice

Easy Installation
I'm not the best handyman, but this installation was very easy and took less than 20 minutes from the time I started taking the door off the hinges until it was rehung. I'm very pleased with the door and the cat learned how to use it very quickly.

Good for the price
Easy to cut down and fit. I did fit it so the lock was on inside but it didn't seem to effect it's operation at all. Puss is happy as he can now deliver half dead rodents to me day and night 😀

It looks good, not top quality
Well, it was the only black cat flap I could find. I would have much preferred buy from known reliable brands. But as I’ve installed a new door with black handles, black letterbox, you know, I need a black catflap!Anyway, it doesn’t seem very sturdy but it looks very smart.Only detail so far is that the draught excluder brush fell the same day it was installed.I had double tape and the stuff to quickly fix it, but otherwise I would have been pretty pissed off.I might buy a longer draught excluder brush to completely seal the outside of the flap, as there is a big gap, as others pointed out in their review.I don’t know how difficult it was to install as I didn’t do it myself.

useless
absolutely useless. One cat simply butts it ,reverses the flap direction and gets out, trouble is the direction is reversed, and no one can then get in. The other two simply lift the flap towards them and get out underneath. The anti draft strip isn,t even stuck on so when the flap is lifted the strip comes off, both sides now I might as well just leave the hole in the door, and now the top magnet has fallen out, and it waves gently in the wind!!

Not weatherproof!
Easy to fit and use and looks good... BUT, and it's a BIG 'but' there is a significant gap between the edge of the transparent door and the frame - see photo - one side is worse than the other. There is a strong cold draught coming through and it's not even a particularly windy or cold day for October (17 degrees). The magnet keeping the door part closed is also not as strong as previous cat flaps I've installed. This flap would be fine if you don't mind a losing a significant amount of heat through it or rain coming through. It is being returned in favour of a more weatherproof solution.
