UPDATE: Hat deformation steamed out, no problem, & seller sent out foam resizers (the large runs larger than expected)... They charge a premium for their hats compared to many other/most vendors, so you would think they would ship with the shape protected. It did ship in a box, but to no avail, because inside it was crumpled up in a bag. Pics attached for reference, don't know if I can steam it into shape or not...

Better than I thought. Very comfortable. Being able to get a larger size was everything because I like a loose fit to let air flow. I really like the color; I wanted a shade lighter but this is good. The quality feels great - not fragile, very sturdy. I looked at a lot of hats before selecting this one and waited a month before reviewing. I would get another in the future.

I like how the hat fits ok... it feels a little big but not bad. The bad part is how they ship it... they didn't put the hat in anything at all like a box or something so it was jammed into a huge box with all the rest of my amazon stuff that showed up that day. Leaving the hat smashed under everything else in the box so the top was creased weird and the front of the brim of the hat lays flat against the rest of the hat... seems like it could be a nice hat if it was sent right so it kept its shape. Now I am not sure I will even use it. Very Sad

I really like these hats. They're great looking, affordable. I like them so much that I keep buying different colors/styles. The problem is that mediums aren't all the same, at least for the hats I've received. For one color, a medium fits perfectly. For another it's too small. For a third, it's too big. I've even had size problems buying the same color. The medium was too small. The large was too big. Also, the colors aren't always as pictured here on Amazon. I'm really happy when I finally get a hat that fits well. But it's an adventure.

I purchased the Belfry Jazz felt and loved it so much that I bought a nice straw version for the warmer seasons. I got the 'MaxxIvory' version, because it was a lighter hue, more like a Panama, and boy, am I pleased. Great quality and marvelous construction. Wears like a dream - for a 7 3/8 the Large is a perfect fit. Beautiful, crisp ivory - just right for the summer. Hats in the Belfry is major, and affordable. This, and my felt Jazz pork pie are my everyday go-to hats right off the bat. This came in a large Amazon box, with plenty of room and wasn't squashed in the slightest. Perfect packaging and another perfect hat. If you're looking for a sharp Panama pork pie, or a straw pork pie in general, Belfry is as quality as they come. No need to look elsewhere. Huge recommendation. Just beautiful. A+

People love this hat. I get a positive comment from at least one stranger on the street every time put it on. It’s not a particularly stout or well made hat. And I don’t imagine it will hold up well over time. Loose threads suggest I should handle it gently if I want to get more than one summer season out of it. Nevertheless, it is a very attractive hat. And I enjoy the attention. It’s a comfortable summer hat.
