Not bad. But also, not scones. UPDATED.
After my local store's scones took a disheartening nosedive in quality, I started searching for a replacement. This won't be it. I followed the directions precisely and got very nice and consistent baked goods. The taste, while a bit bland, is reasonable. Unfortunately, they're not anywhere close to an actual scone. The interior texture is much closer to a muffin. I suspect this was a necessary compromise for ease of preparation. And they are wonderfully easy to prepare, whilst actual scones are not. So, while these are a perfectly reasonable and convenient accompaniment to one's coffee or tea, those searching for a true scone texture -- dense, flaky and buttery -- should look elsewhere.UPDATE 07-25-2020I keep coming back to the Sticky Fingers mix as a timesaver and I’ve come across some tips that help raise their game:1) BARELY mix after you add the water. Just until you don’t have any pockets of dry mix left, then STOP. The more you mix, the more air in the mix and the fluffier the texture after baking. Good for muffins, not for scones.2) Once you’ve formed your dough into the scone shape (I use a scone pan) use a pastry brush and LIGHTLY brush heavy cream over the tops. This will help form a beautiful crust during baking. Also, sprinkle some coarse sugar crystals over the top after brushing on the cream. Makes a BIG difference.3) Move your oven rack down to the lower middle position and increase the baking time by a couple minutes. I go 375 for 19 minutes. Your mileage may vary. All in all, not bad. Maybe even pretty good. Still no match for scones from scratch but it’s a heckuva lot easier.

Wow!
I’m a guy up in years that likes to cook... scratch biscuits & scratch cornbread, etc. I wasn’t looking to buy this scone package, just happened to see it while looking for a dough cutter.I woke up this morning (single), started making my coffee and half awake saw the blueberry scone bag and my stomach started growing! I’d only had “store bought “ scones a long while back and liked them (scones are a bit of a rarity in the South).Easy to mix them (the chef in me wanted to try buttermilk instead of water, but I used water). I baked them and patiently waited for them to be done as I sipped my coffee.I did let them bake an extra few minutes so they’d have a nice brown tint to them. All I can say is WOW!! How’d they get all that flavor out of that little bag?!!??You’ve got to try these!!!

Great Scones!
It's so easy: Add water and stir to make a sticky dough, then bake and cool. I particularly love the blueberry variety, but all the Sticky Fingers scone mixes are excellent. I freeze leftovers and throw them in the toaster oven when I want something with my tea. Easy peasy.

Simple to make fast and easy!
I find adding fresh blueberries really makes a difference in how moist this mix is. Delicious scones. Tip: bead an egg white and brush before baking to get a golden brown scone. Also, don't over bake...use a toothpick to check if done. Makes about 8 good sized scones. They freeze well also.
