This is the smaller version of the very popular Nalgene 32 oz. Wide-Mouth bottle. This is half the capacity of that bottle. It has the same durability and the same leak-proof qualities of the larger bottle.So, why would you want a smaller bottle? Because there are times when carrying around a 32 ounce bottle is impractical. A small bottle will easily fit in a backpack. It takes up less space in portable cooler. This is the perfect size for a kid's lunch box. The truth is, unless you are going some place where water or drinks are not within easy access, you do not need to carry a 32 ounce bottle. For hiking yes, but office and lunch uses, you do not.Nalgene bottles come in wide mouths and narrow mouths. It is easier to drink from the narrow mouth. A child will have an easier time drinking from the smaller mouth and the chances of spilling the drink is lessened. A smaller mouth, theoretically, also makes the bottle more leak-proof than it already is. I say theoretical because I have never had a Nalgene bottle leak. However, the narrow mouth will be harder to clean. You have to be careful to clean out the bottle after every use. Be sure to empty the bottle, rinse it well with clean water, turn it upside down, and make sure it dries completely. You do not want mold, mildew, and bio-film growing on the inside. It will be impossible to clean it out. You can try bleach. I have thrown out a narrow mouth bottle because mold grew on the inside. I neglected to clean it after use. It was a dark, blue bottle. If you have to have a narrow mouth, get the clear version. You need to be able to see the inside and check it for mold. I bought this in the wide-mouth to avoid the hassle. I only buy the clear bottles now.Highly recommended. You really cannot go wrong with the Nalgene bottles. They are totally leak-proof. Their durability is second to none. The wide mouth makes it easy to clean the inside of the bottle.

Perfect size for my Protein shakes. Fits in my gym bag without taking up much room. Is unbreakable and doesn't Leak.

I love the Nalgene products because they are simple to clean, the lid is attached, they are multipurpose (you could put a drink in one and chips in the other) and they come in all colors. They usuallyLast for ever (the last one I had must have been defective because it cracked, but they replaced it). I will continue to but these bottles.

I combined this purchase with a mini blender ball, putting the blender ball in the bottle. Each day I add protein powder and milk, shake it up, and leave in fridge for next day. It has measurements on the bottle to help. I haven't had any issues with leaking. To clean, I can just use warm or soapy water and shake with the blender ball.

I have purchased several Nalgene bottles over the years and their quality remains excellent. Love bottles with large mouths as they are easier to clean or add ice. They are not insulated so at times I would wrap a piece of aluminum foil around them to keep the sun off. Sad though that these water bottles can be so expensive at times but you will know they will last for years if taken care of. For me, I would rather take 2 smaller bottles than 1 large making it easier to pack.

I decided I wanted to start drinking protein powder and this will be my new shaker bottle for that purpose.This shaker bottle is simply incredible and should work great for my protein powder. I also bought some shaker balls to use with my Nalgene; so yes my Nalgene bottle HAS BALLS! I read some reviews of this bottle prior to my purchase and I noticed some people having trouble with this bottle's plastic wrapper it comes in. I looked closely at my bottle when I received it and I did see that it had a plastic wrapper covering it. I also seen what appeared to be zippy-like pull-apart serrations going down the bottle from top to bottom. So after I spotted that it became EAZY-PEAZZY to just unzip my Nalgene out of it's plastic wrapper in less than 2 seconds. I may get a few more of these just to lay around so I can stare at them from time to time. Bye people; I have to contemplate COLORS!

I didn't think I could ever love a water bottle, but I love this one. Most water bottles are either too big or prone to leaks. I try to keep a glass of water handy around the house, but with 2 small kids, it's hard to do that and keep it where they won't accidentally spill it. This bottle never leaks and I don't feel like I'm lugging a canteen around with me. It's also perfect for quick trips to the park or just running errands as it fits in the cup holder of either my car or the kid's stroller. I even made tea directly in the bottle while I was sick a few weeks ago. I just heated the water up in the microwave, poured it into the bottle with a tea bag and screwed the cap on. The bottle never got too warm to hold and the tea stayed warm longer than if it had been in a mug. On top of all that, if it gets knocked over, played with or tossed around, I don't have to worry about this bottle leaking.EDIT: I've had this bottle for a little over 2 months now. A couple of weeks ago I was holding my son and he was holding this bottle. The bottle was about a third full of water and the cap was screwed on. He dropped it from a height of about 4 feet onto hardwood floor and the bottom of the bottle split open. I called Nalgene and they sent out a replacement no problem. Because of how much I love this bottle and how helpful Nalgene was, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one of their bottles, but I was surprised it broke from such a short fall.Since I've had this bottle, I've discovered two things about this size bottle that makes me like it even more. For starters, since it hold just a hair over 16 ounces, I can easily use it with single serve drink packets. Secondly, because it's about the same diameter as a coke can, this bottle fits perfectly in a can koozie. This is great since the bottle can tend to sweat a lot when I put iced drinks in it.

Crazy as it may seem, I needed a bottle I could safely fill with hot water and use alternatively as a hot water bottle when camping and not worry about leaking. It's to early too say if it performs as advertised but it is robust and (so far) no leaking filled with hot water. I'm happy with the purchase and the postage was quick and excellent customer service from seller.UPDATEIt is definitely serving it's purpose (for me) as a hot water bottle, so when I go camping it can be used as intended and also form part of my water containment kit whilst keeping my overall pack weight down. Really pleased with the performance of this bottle and intend to purchase the 1ltr version.

You can't go wrong with Nalgene bottles. This one is compact and very sturdy so it won't leak.Lightweight.
