This is the a perfect book to lose yourself in and enjoy the ride. I loved OCD control freak Kendall and hot head alpha protective Jake. There was heavy romantic vibes from the start and I soaked up their flirtatious energy. The playful banter between them is hilarious and sizzling! There was plenty of laughs, love, and mixed drinks to go around. I immediately fell in love with Island Boy and his City Girl! Even though both leading characters keep secrets and inner insecurities from each other, it was good to see them both letting go when they finally got to spend quality time together. It allowed them to break each other’s personal barriers and letting everything hang out. I immensely enjoyed each and every page of this hot summer read! Well done again, Shey! You continue to amaze me with your writing. Keep up with your amazing work!

I did not want this book to end. Jake is the island boy to dream about! Shey never ceases to amaze me with the emotion she puts into all of her books. This book, Promise Not to Fall, will leave you rooting for love. And also wanting your own gorgeous, drink making, Island Boy. I never want to reveal any parts of a book so find out for yourself on how yet another amazing story has been written by Shey.

It's not a billionaire chasing a poor girl or a dominate man trying to tame a wild woman and that is what I love about Shey Stahl books. The book freaking refreshing to read and see two people like Kendall and Jake fall in lust then in love and go through emotions any person can experience on a real intense level. The whit and funny ways Jake uses to open Kendall's heart and other parts of her had me "hello city girl, what's your pleasure ". Kendall is loving and guarded but they make the best of their limited time together and find out what sacrifice and taking chances and fate really mean.. by far one of my top 10 reads for the year. I have read it 2 times!!! And Jake puts a new meaning to body shots!

If you are looking for a fun, flirty, sexy summertime read.....then you definitely need to read Promise Not to Fall. A tropical setting, fantastic characters, lots of laughter and love...….you will absolutely fall in love with the City Girl and her Island Boy!! Kendall and Jake had this instant, magnetic chemistry from the moment they locked eyes in the bar, and no amount of perfectly mixed drinks (and body shots) would keep them from seeing where it would go. Definitely a vacation to remember for Kendall, and one that completely changed her life for the better. This is one of my favorites from the author and definitely one I will read again!!

I liked this book a lot. It is a great story about how your quirks, as rest and past can get in the way of your present and your future. Many people don't understand how you can stand in your own way but this explains it well. I like Jake and the way he was a the one to show Kendall how to get out of her head and experience life. It was a good read

I picked this story up and legitimately finished it in one sitting. I just couldn’t put it down. I wasn’t sure if I liked Kendall at first, but after she met Jake and after seeing them interact, I was hooked. What a great summer read. I love a strong heroine and Kendall gave me that and so much more. I love how Shey Stahl write her characters, they are so multidimensional that they suck you into these worlds you can imagine being a part of. What a great way to spend an afternoon!

I was given an ARC in return for a honest review.Wow! This was such an amazing read. I was instantly in love with both characters and felt everything as they did. I couldn't put this book down. City Girl had a piece of my heart from the start because I knew that there had to be more to her and Island Boy kept me guessing the whole time I was falling in love with him and his sweet affirmations. The only bad thing about this book was the fact that it ended. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone!!!! Great job Shey!

You can hear the waves and feel the sun in the latest story from Shey Stahl! The characters both have secrets, but in one night, they don't matter. As usual Shey gives characters that become real to you and a story that sucks you right in, this time she has you sitting on the beach, drinking fancy drinks. And you would swear you were there. This is a must read! Pick it up and go to Paradise!!!

I absolutely loved this book, Kendall is an OCD control freak and Jake is the laid-back bartender who is full of dreams.Being dumped and jobless was not the plan, Kendall has everything planned always. Going on holiday with your best friend and her fiancé who is definitely not your favourite person wasn’t the plan either. Kendall went into bar with the goal of trying all the drinks on the menu and maybe even sampling the gorgeous Bartender too; Jake aka Island Boy.Kendall and Jake had amazing chemistry and their hot and heavy encounters did not disappoint at all. Shey brought out the fun, sexy, flirty sides to each of the characters but also had them bringing their hopes and dreams to surface too.Shey you have done an amazing job of producing this fun and addicting book, I couldn’t put it down!I personally loved every part of this book and also the minor characters I can only hope that we get to hear their stories too!5/5 stars from me!
