Jefferson Nickels Folder 1938-1961

A Superior Nickel Folder
I bought this to replace my old book I started in the 60s and could not be more pleased. The front is very appealing and shows the style of the sequence in the book of coins. I like the photographs as opposed to the stark dark blue with a printed title. The stats are great. A very nice touch of adding spaces for the reverse of the coin when it changes.

Includes spaces for "war" nickels.
One of my hobbies is metal detecting and I bought this book and a few others similar to it to add an extra challenge. It also keeps things interesting when I'm just finding common coins. That's not to say the Jefferson nickels from the late 1930s and the 1940s nickels, including the war-time silver nickels, are easy to find! If you know somebody into the hobby of metal detecting this could be a nice gift.

Nice, basic folder for old coins that aren't that rare.
The great thing about collecting nickels (and by some extension pennies) is that you don't have to worry about too much of a dropoff for older dates thanks to previous metal content. In fact because nickels have been made of, well, nickel for so long it's not too rare to find older Jeffersons in circulation apart from the wartime silver ones. So if you have a jar full of coins, you just might find more than a few that will fit into this particular volume. It's also easy enough to push each nickel securely into their respective slots. I recommend this folder for those getting into older coins.
