Love it! Thank you B&M!
The very nature of my 6L80E is to apparently run hot all the time especially if you're pulling a trailer. I'm a GM guy but the external cooler is a joke. Thanks for that tow package GM. So far I am pumped! Temps were not exactly Arizona in the summer for my test drive (pic below) however, I immediately noticed a huge drop in my average transmission temps, 30 degrees or so!! I can't wait to get my little trailer on it and see how it responds. Sturdy aluminum alloy with 1/2 pipe thread fittings. Black finish so it doesn't stand out behind my grille. Maybe I won't cook another torque converter at 36,000 miles. ;)Note: This was a custom install that needs fittings and some fabrication. For example, building your mounts. I rubber mounted mine with stainless hardware. I see negative reviews from DIY's that have no business installing this product. There's no "Kit" so you have to be mechanically inclined a little bit.

Works like a charm
I have a 2018 Diesel Colorado ZR2, stock trans cooler is total crap. (way to save $50 on a $50k truck GM, you cheap *******) I Normally see 190-205 degrees in daily traffic, 220-230 in 4wd off-road and upwards of 230 towing only 4500 lbs. Installed it at 15k miles, noticed the transmission fluid isn't as red as it should be. (yes GM does state DEX-VI is good up to 270 degrees, but are the internal parts? plus these newer transmissions operate clutch on clutch instead of clutch on steel generating more heat when shifting and fast temp spikes) Long story short, added this cooler after the integrated radiator cooler. Just towed almost 4klbs through a few hundred miles of 7-8% mountain grades, normal temps would be showing 235+, after installing this cooler, I couldn't get it to brake 185 on a 8% uphill grade at 65mph for almost 5 miles. The pull fan I added wasn't even wired yet! It works like a charm, smoother shifting under load and a LOT less heat. (no I don't recommend using the cheap plastic zip mounts to stick this to your condenser either)

What a joke
I bought this discounted, the description said that it had minor surfaces scratches and dings. I received the item, late, I believe and it was blown right open. Completely unusable. It's a great product, sturdy and durable. I'm not sure how it got in the condition that it was sent to me in, but it was far front scratched and dinged.

Not for a transmission, but air compressor...
I purchased this B&M 70266 SuperCooler Automatic Transmission Cooler for the purpose of cooling and drying the air coming from my air compressor before entering the tank, and oh-boy does it work wonderfully. As you can see in the picture, I don't have an "industrial" compressor, but I do utilize it for roofing, framing, and some light automotive work and so I wanted to preserve my tank and prevent as much moisture from entering as possible. This cooler allows the air to cool and the moisture to get caught in the drip leg and moisture trap and leaves me with cool dry air in the tank to be used. I took the temperatures of the pipes on a normal duty cycle on a 70 degree spring day at the pump outlet and at the transmission cooler outlet and the temperatures were 130F and 66F respectively, and after 2 or 3 duty cycles, the drip leg and moisture trap release some water so I achieved my goal.

threads are good, and no leaks
I bought this after consulting B&M on the proper size to replace the radiator cooler on my GTO. Custom installation as it is an add on. Seems to be a quality piece, threads are good, and no leaks. No issues with cooling, but its cool now in TX. We will see what the summer brings. I expect no problems.

Cooler seems well made. See descriptive review below
I ordered two of these to use on my street truck. One was perfect, no issues. The other one had one fitting that went in the 1/2npt threads perfect, the other one galled really bad and i can’t get it out with the risk of breaking it, im hoping it won’t leak and all will be will. But overall I give a solid 3 because the one issue with the one fitting. I would recommend them though.

Bad mammajama
The car I used this cooler on has a history of issue with heat. It's a twin turbo mustang with a giant FMIC, ac, and an auto. So that means I've got a lot going on cooler wise up front. The FMIC reduced the amount of airflow and took up a lot of space. In the south Louisiana summer heat the ac condenser created enough heat to overcome to the cooling system. The engine would start heating up, then the trans would start heating up since the trans cooler was only getting progressively hotter and hotter air. Here's how I fixed it.1. Replaced the factory radiator with a new Cobra radiator. It was slightly bigger and helped.2. Moved my existing cooler to a better location that helped it get more fresh air. These two changes worked pretty well and although the trans would still run a little warmer than I liked it was an improvement. That is, until a giant pothole destroyed my trans cooler. It seems fresh air comes with a price. No protection. So, I ordered this cooler as a replacement. Relocated it higher into the front end to offer some protection and even with less airflow it performed so well I hardly ever have to turn on the electric fan I used to pull air across it. Cruising around town, making a few quick hits. No problem. This is now my go to product for future projects.

Good high pressure, high flow cooler.
Seems very well made. The only thing I can see that could use improvement is the fittings could stand to be a little more sturdy.I installed it as an after-cooler on the shop air compressor (80 gal. 7.5hp) I was worried it might not flow enough, but that is totally not an issue. It condenses an amazing amount of water out of the air and keeps the tank and lines much dryer. The temperature drop is very impressive too, the inlet is almost too hot to hold, and the outlet is just above room temperature. The benefit is the air in the tank is more dense, effectively doing the same thing as increasing the size of the tank.
