Absolutely Loved This Second Chance Love Story
I loved Straight Up Love by Lexi Ryan, the second book in The Boys of Jackson Harbor. I have read other books by Lexi Ryan and have thoroughly enjoyed all of them. I absolutely loved the book. I loved the characters and the cold Michigan setting. I could not put it down and I loved every page. Each book in the series keeps getting better and better and I have loved each book. Lexi Ryan has once again provided her readers with amazing characters. I love all the characters in Straight Up Love, they feel like family! Who doesn't love hot sexy men, strong, passionate females, and big loving families, who always support one another? Lexi Ryan continues to deliver all that and so much more. Once again Lexi Ryan has given her readers another amazing book. Straight Up Love is filled with all the heartbreaking and heartwarming moments and surprise plot twists, that I have come to love and expect in a Lexi Ryan love story, I especially loved the poignant and bittersweet moments that filled this page turner. She has once again proven that she is an incredible storyteller. I really enjoy how the story is told in the first perspective from the main characters. I love getting into the minds of the characters to know what they are really thinking and feeling. Straight Up Love is the story of Ava McKinley, schoolteacher and best friend of Jake Jackson. Jake runs Jackson Brews. Jake has always been in love with Ava, the girl next door, but did not want to lose her friendship if something went wrong with their relationship. For her thirtieth birthday, Ava decides that she wants a baby and that she wants to get pregnant and is willing to raise the child alone as a single parent. She wants to be a Mom. She needs to decide what path to choose: a one-night stand, a sperm bank, or a friend. With her friend’s assistance, she decides that she will somehow get Jake to get her pregnant. Unbeknownst to Ava, Jake heard her plan that she revealed in this office. The more time they spend together, the more secrets they share, and come to grips with their past. I love Ava and Jakes love story and all the plot twists. As someone who suffers from infertility, Lexi Ryan was so right in all the emotions that Ava experienced. It was so perfectly written. I love how all the women in the book are best friends and support each other. I love how Ava and Jake work out all their issues and finally get their happily ever after. My favorite part are the epilogues and how that wrap up all the details of the happily ever after. I loved the book; I am so excited for the other books in this new series. Straight Up Love is a beautifully written second chance at first love story and I loved every moment. Highly recommend this beautifully written story.

I'm straight up in love with the Jackson boys!
Oh where do I start with this review! I'm a total sucker for this trope, first of all. Friends to lovers and second chance romances are some of my favorite books to read. Couple that with Lexi's story telling and writing and you have GOLD!Oh how I know what it's like to be Ava. As I personally was approaching my 30's I wanted nothing more then to have kids, mostly so I wasn't too old to keep up with them as they grew up. So as her 30th birthday dawns Ava wants nothing more then to have a baby. She's been burned by a crappy ex-husband, and though she knows it will be hard, she is planning to go the route alone. Her courage, outlook and determination, were such quality traits in her character. Teacher by day and part time bar tender in the evenings, Ava has a sensible direction in her life and she plans and goals and she's going to achieve them.Enter Jake Jackson, the stunning and handsome best friend and bar owner and heir to the famous Jackson name. When he's approached by drunken Ava to help her with her endeavor to have a baby, he's shocked to say the least. Jake has been harboring feelings for Ava for years. But Jake devises brilliant plan to not just give Ava what she wants most, but to get what he wants most, her in his bed forever... GAH... Jake is simply. THE. BEST! I absolutely adored him from the get go. Even with his faults he is one special guy, now if only Ava would see him more then just the best friend....Get ready for the roller coaster or emotions that this journey will take you on! Jake and Ava have a push and pull that will keep you flipping the pages furiously to see what will come next. Their love truly leapt off the pages, and Jake is so sweet, kind and caring, with a side of alpha that will have you wanting a Jackson brother of your own.I fell in love all over again with the Jackson family in this book. Lexi knows how to write the family sagas the suck you in and make you feel like you want to be a part of this family. The Jackson family is big and each brother has his own way of making you fall in love with them, even when the book isn't about them, you get just enough of them to keep you wanting more. And Lexi's storytelling and writing are like a fine wine, as it ages, it gets better and better. I remember back to her very fist book I read of hers and how far she's coming, each story having its own totally unique facets and plots. Lexi's become one of my MUST. ONE. CLICK. authors and will be for a long time to come! If you haven't read either of the Jackson Harbor books you need to read them now. They can be read out of order, so give Jake a one click now. I promise you won't be sorry!

Love The Jackson Family.!!
Love this second book in this brilliant series. I don’t know about Straight Up Love nothing seemed to go really straight, Jake had his work cut out that’s for sure...he never gave up on Ava, never doubted his love or hers even when she married Harrison the only worry was the situation regarding Molly, it was one night but it was enough to cause concern, thankfully it wasn’t as bad as we originally thought but Lexi Ryan kept us waiting on that.As always with Lexi Ryan there is plenty of banter and humour but sadness and regret are never too far away add to that all the surprises that are thrown in and it makes for a great story. It was torture while we waited for Ava to realise she was meant to be with Jake, his patience paid off in the end though, they got their happy ending in more ways than one.It looks like trouble is brewing between Ellie and Colton... what is going with that pair and what about Molly and Noah. There is so much to tell...I can’t wait for Dirty, Reckless Love.!!

Amazing!
Amazing! I love Lexi Ryan's books, and this did not disappoint. We met Jake in The Wrong Kind of Love - he's one of the Jackson brother's, and has been in love with his best friend Ava for years. Ava, divorced, and feeling her biological clock ticking is desperate for a baby. So, following a funny drunken birthday night with her friends she asks Jake...My heart broke for Ava's desire to have a baby. As someone that had problems with miscarriages I could understand Ava's desire to have a baby, though her issue was getting pregnant. There's plenty of chemistry in this book, and laughter, and a few secrets from the past and angst. I loved it! I can't wait for the next book in this series.
