An absolutely excellent product that really works well for me!
After breaking out with bouts of cystic acne in my adult life for many years and spending thousands of dollars on dermatological treatments, including laser therapy, supplements, tons of water, changing my diet, and top tier prescription gels with only limited success, I finally realized the root cause of my breakouts. It was my foundation and it had become a vicious cycle of using it to cover up what it caused. And, I learned the problem was not just “my foundation”, it was nearly every foundation I tried which ranged from drugstore formulations to high-end serum concoctions. And, it didn’t matter which cleanser or toner/astringent I used or how squeaky clean my skin felt after cleansing. I was reacting to the all of the silicones in my foundation, concealer, primer, and powder. Because I work in a public sector, I like to look my best and I was simply too embarrassed to go barefaced while my skin got under control. I looked high and low for foundations made without silicones and unfortunately, silicones seem to lurk in between the lines on many ingredient lists. Mineral powder foundation worked well for awhile and then I switched to using a water based airbrush foundation. The mineral powder is very messy and it requires touch-ups that always seemed to leave a thin layer of powder on my clothing, the countertop, the floor, and even on my car’s dashboard after I have touched up in the parking lot at work. The airbrushed stuff is great but it requires time to clean up after each time it’s used and then, regular maintenance as well lest the machine clogs. And, It is not something I can stick in my makeup pouch and easily take to the office everyday either. I found a silicone-free foundation stick from NYX and that worked okay for awhile but it simply didn’t last all day and I could never find a shade that really worked for my skin tone so I mixed three different shades together. Since it always wore off by mid-day, I was taking three large sticks of the stuff everywhere I went. Then one day, I could no longer find the product and I assume it was discontinued. Pacifica came out with a silicone-free foundation and although I love most of their product line, I simply did not like their foundation at all. It never seemed to set properly for me and it felt like a heavy, sticky mask on my skin. Finally, I found Honest and this one is definitely a keeper. A couple of different shades actually look fairly close to my light neutral-warm skin tone and I don’t even have to mix the two together to get a great, natural-looking result. It blends and it sets well. The coverage is buildable if you need it to be. It feels good on my skin and is not sticky or “heavy”. It lasts ALL day for me so I don’t need to take it with me to the office for mid-day touch-ups but if I did, it’s very portable. It does not require a messy application nor any machine maintenance. Most importantly, my skin has not broken out since I started using it so I have been able to use less and less of the product over time and now, I only apply a very small amount. I think the quantity of product in the compact is a fair amount and it lasts for quite awhile. In my opinion, one thing I would like to see is a refill option rather than purchasing a new compact each time I run out of product. I don’t use the enclosed applicator anyway and I think the compact would easily last 2-3 refills. I will try find a way to reuse/recycle all of the plastic and glass but it would be wonderful to have less of it to worry about. Honest works very well for me but I completely understand that everyone’s skin behaves a little differently from the next person. What works well for one, might not work for another. I definitely think Honest is worth a try especially if your skin is sensitive to silicones. I am obviously quite happy I ended up trying it.

Pretty Color!
This foundation is a pretty color for those that have a caramel complexion. It is a little dry but just use a good moisturizer before applying.

lOVE THIS
The more I learn about all the toxic chemicals in makeup, the more I love products like this. It is better than most foundations, and blends very well.

Makes skin look really dry
Ugh, I wanted to love this! I'm 32 with normal to sometimes dry skin.Pros: Coverage is buildable, covers redness well.Cons: Everything else. This isn't very creamy and feels tacky to try to blend. It looks HORRIBLE on any dry spots, the areas around my nose looked flaky. It also made my pores look huge.

Good but not for sensitive skin
Other products by this brand have not caused breakouts. Unfortunately this one seemed to really irritate my skin :/

I luv this!
My favorite makeup was disccontinued about 5 years ago. I went on a quest to find a replacement, trying so many brands I lost count. None of them provided the coverage I wanted or color match. Most importantly, it is hard to find cream makeup which is what I want. Then the pandemic hit and I gave up as I wore a mask everyday due to working in public.I received this brand today and I could tell this was it!The shade Honey is a perfect match for me. It went on so smooth and I need minimal coverage.I like the fact it contains some oil. I have very dry skin so this is good for me. If you feel it is too much for you, just use a finishing powder. I have no problems with believing this will last all day, especially if you are using a finishing powder.I hope this brand will be around for a long time.

Use a brush
Update… I stumbled across a new way to apply this that works a million times better. It sounds crazy but hear me out… I apply a light dusting of powder first! Then use a brush to apply a small amount of this foundation. The powder works as a barrier so the foundation can add coverage but not sink into fine lines, pores, dry spots. It applies much more flawlessly this way. Then I apply a little powder to set it. At least now I can use it every day without frustration and the temptation to throw it away!Previous review : This has such a nice description that I had to try it. It is very thick and dense and hard to spread out. It settles in and emphasizes anything… pores, fine lines, dryness, peach fuzz. It really feels and looks like a mask. You need to put the thinnest layer on possible for the best effect. I tried using the sponge or a beauty blender but the outcome was awful and I have to use my hands to keep spreading it and use a cloth to wipe some off. The best outcome finally is coming from using lots of moisturizer first, then using a brush and getting only a very small amount on it. I’m determined to use it up because it’s not cheap and I don’t want to waste the money I spent on it, but I very much dislike this!

Me encanta
Me gusta mucho, da un acabado muy natural, la cobertura es ligera, puedes aplicar más producto para una mayor cobertura. La volveré a comprar.
