Easy to use -- gives good protection and gorgeous patina to bare wood.
Easy to use. Gives good protection to bare wood. Leaves a matte finish, vigorous buffing needed to achieve a glossy finish. This is the ONLY finish on the beautiful wood of our home interior -- built 17 years ago.

The only way to protect your OSMO floor!
When we refinished our wood floors, I swore that I'd never do it again. It's a giant pain moving everything out of the house, and expensive to have professionals sand down the old floor and refinish. I studied up on the options, and choose OSMO finish. It's been four years, and I'm so happy with my choice! The thing with OSMO is that it's a matte finish. I like a little shine. I had read that the floors could be buffed, so I did- by hand. Yuck. I tried this cleaner/wax and it didn't really look much different after using, so I did a bit of experimenting. I tried using different pads to apply, and different buffing methods. I had good luck using very fine steel wool to buff it into the floor, then I used an auto buffer to shine the floors after the product was completely dry. This was very labor intensive, but looked good.I finally got smart and purchased a $100 floor cleaner/buffer here on amazon. I use it along with this OSMO liquid wax cleaner. My floors look amazing. They have a nice satin sheen that repels liquids and looks great. I can go over the floors with just the buffer if I want to revive the shine. I recoat the floors once per year with the liquid wax cleaner, just to make sure that they stay protected. It's super easy with the power buffer.I'll never have to refinish the entire floor again because there is nothing on them to wear off. They look as good, actually better than when they were first refinished, and I'm using a product that won't make me or my family sick. I'm a total OSMO fan!

This product performs very well when used on floors previously finished with Osmo Hard Wax Oil. It makes a lovely refresher coat over a finish that apparently will never fail, but sometimes get a bit dim with scuffing.

Ruined a river table
I built a river table and, after much research, decided to use OSMO to finish it. The company rep I talked with sent me a copy of a note he received from a customer. The note outlined the exact steps the customer used to achieve a great finish. I followed the steps precisely and achieved a really nice finish after the first two steps. The note indicated that applying a coat of OSMO wax cleaner would give the finish more shine. OSMO wax cleaner absolutely ruined the finish. It left the table with a blah, dull unattractive finish. I spent about $50 for the wax cleaner because the rep led me to believe it would enhance the table. I've contacted the company and TWICE been promised a free sample of their 'gloss' finish. It's been a couple of months and no gloss has appeared. I'm left with a very poorly finished river table that cost me a lot of money to make. I'm done with OSMO!!!!!
