Coloring Book Islamic Art Paperback – April 24, 2010

Bought these for my son the art teacher who teaches in an Islamic school. he was thrilled and used the designs with students.

I didn't like this book. i thought it would be a book with Islamic art to colour in. It was more of an activity book.

this is not so much a coloring book as a book about Islamic art, not enough coloring, not as expected

Why on earth would this book be a THOUSAND DOLLARS?!

Yes, the cover design does appear within for young folk to colour, but it is accompanied by other images which seem in the main less representative of major themes. I suppose it's the emphasis on images of figurative art rather than on abstract geometric designs that leaves me feeling that this book is somewhat disappointing. Unlike the cover, there aren't many Islamic geometric designs in the book. I bought it for Year 3 & 4 children but they didn't seem very excited. Therefore, I am disappointed.

the book arrived very speedily but it wasn't what I thought it was going to be - it is for children - I should have read the info more carefully. It is a lovely book - for children

Not enough patterns for colouring. Didn't want the drawing bits. More for kids than adults as tone a bit patronising.

The best bit is the picture on the cover, there was a lot less too it than I hoped for.
