Revived a stiff and shrunken wool sweater
So I’m one of those people who takes the care label instructions as more of a suggestion than instructions. So in my laziness to handwash and lay flat to dry, I thought I could just use the delicate cycle on my washing machine and dry them on low heat. Lesson learned. Wool sweaters are too delicate for even the delicate cycle and cannot handle any heat at all. I was about to toss these expensive sweaters, thinking them beyond repair, but then thought to try this wool wash that I had initially purchased to wash some wool coats I did not want to dry clean (again, taking the label as a mere suggestion). Happy to report, not only did this wool wash work wonders on my wool coats, it also helped revive one of the sweaters that had shrunken down to half its size. I can’t wait to try it on the rest of the sweaters I destroyed.A word of caution: wet wool smells a bit like wet dog (or wet sheep?) while it’s wet, but once it’s fully dry, that smell goes away leaving only a fresh scent from the essential oils in this. And I imagine the lavender and eucalyptus oils may actually help keep clothes moths away. The method I used to revive my sweater: I soaked it in a bucket full of cold water with a capful of this wool wash. After a few hours I squeezed out the excess water gently (no twisting or wringing) and did NOT do a rinsing soak, as rinsing is optional with this wash - it’s not soapy or sudsy and it conditions the fabric, which is what I needed since the fabric had turned scratchy and stiff. It was still dripping wet at that point so I laid it on a dry towel and rolled the towel up with the sweater wrapped inside to soak out all the excess water. Then, I reshaped it and laid it flat on another dry towel. Then after it dried I ran a fabric shaver over it to get all the fuzzy bits off, and the sweater looks new again! For wool coats, beware: there is going to be a learning curve to washing a wool coat. Certain types of wool tends to go fuzzy versus other types that can handle a wash just fine. It is not easy to hand wash a wool coat, as it becomes very heavy and very hard to squeeze out enough water or soak up enough with a towel for it to not be dripping. Depending on the material, you may be able to get away with a delicate machine cycle on low spin. If it’s virgin wool, it will not enjoy being washed and a lot of fuzzies will form. A good fabric shaver can take care of that and you may have to keep reshaping it and press it with an iron once dry (put a cotton bedsheet between the coat and iron if you do). Wool coats also take a long time to dry and putting your coat in a dryer on any amount of heat will cause distortion to the fabric. Ideally hang it up in a well ventilated space and put a fan facing it if possible.A good rechargeable fabric shaver is a worthwhile investment in addition to this wash if you want to keep your woolens looking as close to new as possible.

Love the smell!
Been washing fleece for years and just decided at one point to try this soap. Usually used Power Scour, but this worked just as well and in my opinion I liked the tea tree smell that the fleece had even after washing. No problems with skin issues- very nice product to use.

WOW...miraculous results
I was thought my sheep fleece (4 hides) was beyond restoration, but when I read the reviews for this product I thought I may as well try to salvage it. Prior to shampooing, I meticulously followed instructions I had found online. It took me two days just to card/brush out the fleece, shake it out, remove mats, etc. I ended up leaving it in the tub longer than I wanted to because it took me so long to swish it around gently in the water and waiting for our water heater so I could keep using warm water to rinse it. I am just astounded with the result, it looks better than when I purchased it. This shampoo was awesome, but be sure to follow the instructions for washing. The hide was a little stiffer, but that is likely because of the state the fleece was in prior to washing. I am very satisfied and thankful for this product. I would definitely purchase it again based on these results.

Great for delicates.
I started using this when I bought my daughter her first Woolino sleep sack to wash appropriately. Now I use it for all our delicates. Cleans well and smells great.

Best wool wash - A rose is a rose
I normally buy/love a similar product from a vendor in the UK whose price is double, plus shipping. When I was reading the info on the UK product I realized it sounded like this product was the same one. I DO believe it is. When this product came, looked, smelled and performed the same. This product is wonderful for your wool It leave it feeling silky and really removes built up dirt. I love the smell of Tea Tree Oil - if you don't skip this product. This will now be my standard go-to wool wash.

Works very well, even on leather!!
I recently started using this to wash some itchy sweaters. It did such a great job I decided to try kookaburra wash on a leather jacket I’ve had for years that still hasn’t broken in. After easing it, I let it hang dry and then I put it in the dryer on fluff, NO heat. The jacket came out with soft buttery leather and finally has that perfect broken in feeling that I love. So, I washed all my leather jackets and my rabbit fur and everything came out looking so beautiful. I also let everything hang dry and then put in dryer on fluff with no heat. This even made acrylic sweaters feel luxuriously soft. I love this product!!

Works great, does smell like tea tree
I personally love it for a more natural detergent and wash my delicates in it. As much as I do like it, I won’t be repeat purchasing. It says I scented but does indeed have a light tea tree smell, which my husband finds offensive. Also, I know people sensitive to lanolin, which this has in it, so might cause skin allergies in some. But, I personally do recommend it for chemical free lifestyles. I only knocked off stars because it is not scent free if that’s what you are looking for.

wow!
just did a big hand washing day of winter merinos and i was amazed at how well kookaburra worked. seems pricey until you realize how little you need to use. everything came out super fresh and clean. didn't quite get the grease stain out of the christmas sweater, but definite improvement, not to mention i had left it for months which wasn't likely the best. tried a new strategy of doing a spin in the laundry machine before semi-hanging/laying to dry- i have long body and arms, so don't mind just a little bit of stretch in the drying process. followed by a fluff cycle both outside in and then right side out, barely any additional fuzziness. into ziplocs with cedar balls and they should be ready for next winter when it rolls in without being moth food if all goes well. top shelf product. glad i read the other reviews and pulled the trigger.

Excellent for fine merino clothes
I wear mostly merino wool. This product leaves the wool soft, and feeling fresh and nourished (i.e. not dry and also not coated with soap/conditioning residue). It cleans well. You need very little to get the job done, and so the orginal formula only leaves a very discreet non-flowery smell. This is my favourite of the 6 wool cleaning products I have used over the years.

Great Product!
Used it to wash a large, natural sheepskin rug that had been soiled. Washed the rug on wool cycle in machine and it turned out great and the rug smells fresh and amazing!

Best wool wash ever
If you own wool sweaters, this is the best wash ever. I initially bought this as I have a sheep skin mat for my dog and read that to wash it, I needed a special wool wash. After the mat came out perfect, I tried it on a wool sweater. So impressed. My sweater is beyond soft (softer than when I bought it) and there was no shrinking. From there, I used it for delicate cotton hand-wash only items. Again, perfect. This is now my go-to wash for all things wool and all things delicate.I also love that the dispenser allows you to pre-measure. Just the exact amount needed for the wash and no wasting.

Beautiful Scent & Soft Clothes!
I bought this specifically for my little ones woolino sleep sack. I didn't want to compromise ruining it with other non wool safe detergent. Especially after investing a lot into the sleep sack alone. After the first wash, I will say the scent was throwing me off big time. However, once it dried, I couldn't get enough!!! It smelled so beautiful and natural.I love how soft it makes the sleep sack after. This detergent is on the pricier side, but I wouldn't buy any other. This stuff is amazing!
