Raw wool feels amazing after a wash in this
I used this product for "scouring" raw wool fleece as an alternative to the Unicorn product.I love that it has a bit of lanolin in it. My wool washes up clean, soft, and spinnable without the dryness that can sometimes happen with other wool wash products. However, there have been a couple of mohair fleeces that didn't wash up as well. Mohair doesn't really need the lanolin so I wasn't as happy with the feel of the washed fiber. It's okay, and most of it I'll be dyeing anyway. The scent is a bit strong for my liking. It's tea tree oil, and I can really smell it during the washing process. It's not as pronounced once the fleece is dry however. It does smell clean and it might help deter wool moths so that could be a benefit.I haven't priced it out as far as cost of soap per pound of fiber, but because the results are superior, I doubt I'll go back to alternatives like the blue liquid that gets recommended so often.I don't measure carefully when I wash a tub of wool. I toss a sploosh (tm) in, honestly it's probably a cup of liquid to about 10 gallons of hot water (150f), put in wool in handfuls, lots of it, while still leaving enough room for the liquid to move through the fiber. I have a dollar store plunger that I use to push down on the wool to get that soapy liquid moving through, melting and grabbing the lanolin.Oh, and this wool wash doesn't seem to suds up, which is a great thing, suds are tough to rinse out of wool. One of the reasons I never much liked the blue liquid.I'll keep buying this product for raw wool washing. Glad to have an alternative.

Been using it for years
I've been using it for years. Works great on woolens, or even on carpets and sofas. I've used it to wash all my clothes. In a washing machine, I don't think it's as powerful as detergent (I use the German version of Persil), but it does work for that. I think it really shines when you want to soak something in the sink for a while. Clothes come out smelling great with a subtle scent that doesn't get tiresome.

This is amazing for knit items
I have been using Kookaburra wash for years now. It saves me a great deal of money on drycleaning expenses. I use it for all of my sweaters. It has a eucalyptus fragrance that is really nice and natural. It has rejuvenated some of my older sweaters. I just recently went back to working in the office and have been using so much of this I upgraded to the gallon jug.

Kookaburra is gentle and excellent for hand laundry or any laundry.
I absolutely love Kookaburra! It is a great gentle laundry soap for hand wash, but I sometimes use it in my regular wash too. It smells wonderful. 💜 I was buying it from my natural food co-op regularly for many years and then they suddenly stopped carrying it and said couldn’t order it for me either. 🙁. I was devastated at first but was so happy to find that Amazon carries it and I can keep buying it. 😁👍🏻💚

LOVE this detergent
Originally bought for wool diaper covers and Woolino baby gear (the best...check it out!) and then came back to buy the gallon size. It is pricey, but you truly use so little for washing items that it should last. Scent is lovely...the only scented detergent we buy. Great for dedicates, hand washable and all things wool.

Bought this thinking it was unscented...it's not
I wish they made a gallon sized unscented. The soap is wonderful, but my little one's skin REALLY needs unscented options. The scent is strong and lingered in the wash after multiple clean cycles.

Lanolin wash is fantastic
This product works so well it will even work when used in steamers. I've used Kookaburra products for over 12 years for a variety of cleaning/relanolinizing wools, silk/wool rugs. It works on a variety of knaps. If done right it'll even work to waterproof cotton products. Love it. Thank you US manufacturers for another super product made here at HOME!
