Best glue for black shoes!
I Love the BLACK ShoeGoo. It works really well on my black rubber sole walking shoes.

Truly Incredible Product
I have been using Shoe Goo for over 30 years to extend the lives of my work shoes. I used to load delivery trucks and walking back and forth on the loading docks would wear down the heels of my shoes while the uppers were still like new. Shoe Goo applied in layers helps build back the soles and wears incredibly well and adheres great as well. It only takes about a day to cure.I use alcohol to clean the surface and dry it before applying just to make sure it sticks. The negative reviews I see for this are mostly from user error and ignorance of what this does. This Shoe Goo is not really intended for gluing shoes back together. Gluing soles or edges of soles is much better done by super glue. This really excels as rubber mending or rebuilding product. I have used this to fix all kinds of rubber things. It lasts for years too.I put some of this on a hair dryer on/off slide switch which had no traction and was hard to operate as my finger would slide. This fixed the problem and is still working 8 years later and I use it every day! This is really an amazing product. You will not find anything else that does what this does and it isn’t expensive. I always keep a tube of this around and so should you. Highly recommend.

It's messy but it works wear gloves
Think black tar that's a little bit too drippy. This is very messy stuff you must wear gloves like surgical medical latex gloves or something like that. When you squeeze it out it will seem to drip and you will worry that it will drip all over but it won't it becomes a gel almost immediately and then you can shape it but it's still messy when you shape it it doesn't drip at that point. You'll be glad you use the gloves. Also put paper towel or newspaper underneath whatever you're working on because you are going to get it on the table. Keep it off your clothing you might want to wear an apron. Best to do it in the garage. Don't swear while you use it it's doing the best it can. I did the back heels of my rain boots and you can see it came out excellent. The back of the heels had worn off unevenly and now they're perfectly good again. It dries similar to the feeling of a car tire. Not I'd like plastic but rubbery like the rubber of a running shoe soul. It dries with a shiny black surface so you should know that. Don't lose the cap to the tube. I'm glad I got it I will use it on other shoes in the future that have black soles. I'm glad I did it the right way with plenty of newspaper on the ground and with latex gloves my hair tied back and an apron on. Good lighting is essential. If you take shortcuts about using this you will be sorry. If you don't you will be very pleased with your results. See photos

Still the best product on the market
I’m 82 years old and first used this product the year it came out, 1972! I was running every day, trying to be like Frank Shorter, in an old pair of Adidas that were worn out but I couldn’t afford anything else and Nike was just barely coming on the market! I still have those Adidas, with that shoe-goo attached to the bottom!Fast forward 50+ years and I needed a repair on an expensive rubber boot that had nail go through it and Shoe-goo came to mind! After all these years, it still is a fantastic product! It worked great, dries fast and using a plastic knife moves the product smoothly! If you need a shoe repair or something else, definitely consider using Shoe-goo!

I use this stuff for almost EVERYTHING!
This is GREAT stuff ... I glued a large laser to the top of my revolver. a channel magnet to the back of my cell phone, sealed cracks in my plastic wheelbarrow, and use as a paintbrush to write large black letters on the side of home depot buckets, to label contents. I probably use seven tubes a year, and it makes me nervous when I get down to three. The side of my work boots get abraded on the car floor resting sideways, and a bead of Shoe Goo makes a GREAT wear strip.Stuff some cotton in an open small pipe, and seal the end with Shoe Goo. The hardness gets stronger over time. I glue USB 7 port hubs to bricks for my computers so they don't slide around or tip over on my computer desk, and glue extension multiple outlet power strips to wood so they can be screwed to walls and removed, absolutely secure and immovable until then. I seal LED "fluorescent tubes" for waterproof outdoor use, and seal cuts and punctures in my outdoor extension cord casings, and abraded wires. I have found that insect bites that fester and destroy adjacent tissue, and never seen to heal. heal in a few days with a layer of Shoe Goo directly applied to the inflamed area. ( I got that idea from reports that duct tape will do the same thing ....). I had a tree that grew, pushing aside my top rail on my chain link fence. bowing it, so I used a hole saw on a drill to make two holes on opposite sides of the tree, larger than the top rail diameter, and cut the rail, and reinstalled it, so now the tree looks like the fence top rail is running through the middle of the tree (and making the fence look straight once again). I sealed the gap around the top rail with Shoe Goo so the tree would not rot or water get into the top rail. or allow for insect infestation. The tree will continue to grow and cover up the repair with what will look like a "knot" around the pipe, on opposite sides of the tree. Shoe Goo is GREAT filler for rust holes in utility trucks (with aluminum tape).Etc., Etc., etc.
