Mrs. Anderson’s Baking Adjustable Chocolate Shaver, Japanese Stainless Steel

This Chocolate shaver is made from a nice heavy grade of stainless steel. It works beautifully, Shaves chocolate easily!

I purchased this tool to shave chocolate off a 10 pound block and it just isn't up to the task of hard chocolate that big. I am sure that it would work on chocolate that you buy at the grocery store. The product is made very well and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase it for a gift. I am sure that it will work on other things, such as cheese and softer chocolate. I am only disappointed with it because it didn't work for the hard blocks of chocolate the way I wanted it to. The price for the item is great because it is very sturdy and well made.

I actually use it to slice garlic and it comes out beautiful. Love it

Got it for shaving garlic because it was one of the cheaper options. Not happy with the adjustment for the thickness. Once it is set it works good but I usually have to go thru a clove and a little finger before I get it adjusted right. Did not come with a safety case or bag and it is extra sharp.

The only drawback that this shaver has is that it could possibly be a bit too thick all together. The tines do not allow to shave a truffle paper thin because once the teeth separate enough to let the truffle pass through the blade has separated too far from the base. So you get a thick cut instead of a nice thin one.

Precision piece of kitchen hardware and watch your fingers :-)

a) i tightened screws before use (not my first rodeo with small screws).b) fell apart into component pieces 1st use, on a small wedge of parmesan.c) reassembled,d) repeated auto de fe. :-(this is an engineering issue: the screws were WAAAAY insufficient.

Feels sturdy. I only use it on truffle so far, and it works well. Overall, it is a very good buy - good price and good quality.

This is a nice heavy stainless steel kitchen tool. It has a decent weight in the hand and the adjustable blade is a great feature. In addition to its uses listed in the product info, I recently had success in making butter curls with the shaver. I plan to try it out next time I am decorating a cake using chocolate "plastic" (an edible chocolate paste)to see if its versatility extends even further.

Fantastic product and extremely sharp for paper thin shaving. I used this for making pickled ginger for sushi. I tried several other devices and this one works the best. It's sturdy and the blade is high quality steel. Looking forward to using this for years to come.

Very thin slices or thick. Wow it's a plus and being stainless which makes it a antibacterial

Feels solid and slices well. I am using this for truffles.

No difficulties whatsoever and arrived as advertised. We used them in a professional kitchen and for the price point it’s exactly what you need. Most of the ones in the upper tier price point are just very pretty and made with fancy wood. But these ones are reliable as well.
