Works just as it should.
This SpaGuts 10-175-4855 Single Pump Spa Controller Kit, VS300FC5 was a great replacement for the controller on my 15-year old Balboa spa. It is obviously a professionally manufactured product. It came with everything I needed. You will need some electrical and mechanical skills to complete the installation. If you are not completely confident of your skill level, having a licensed and experienced installer is definitely recommended.

Likely to break
I have read so many reviews on so many hot tub control panels. I tried to pick the one I thought would last the longest despite reviews on almost every brand saying it was iffy. We got this hooked up, rejoiced in our small skillset, and enjoyed our hot tub for less than a month total. We did not install it right away, but within the 30 days of receiving. It was summer, so it was not on a whole lot. It ran for just over a month before continually tripping the system and now never turning it back on. We even had an electrician over and he narrowed down the problem to the control panel unit. Spaguts customer service was not helpful in email and they don't seem to like answering phones as I can't get ahold of them that way either. We spent a pretty penny on this unit and after barely any use and not being able to get ahold of tech support, are not happy. If they make this right, I will update in the future.

100% solar
I rebuilt our 3 person hot tub from 240v to 120v with this and a 120v pump. I have 24 250w Trina solar panels powering our farm shop. This runs off a 6000w inverter that powers the shop. I have a jasco zwave 40amp smart outdoor switch to schedule it to turn on when the sun comes up. The 40 amp rating is not the breaker, just the heavy duty rating of the switch. That switch runs to the 120v 20amp outlet the tub uses. I got a levitron inline gfi for the tubs' 6 ft power cord. You can also use the gfi that replaces the end of the power cord, or buy a gfi power cord. Don't listen to spa guts, you do not need a hot tub gfi disconnect box for 120v, only 240v. 120v tubs come with a gfi plugin cord from the factory. The smart switch turns on every hour 5 minutes to circulate the hot water through the pump when the temp is below 34 degrees. It does not run on a cloudy days except for that hourly antifreeze mode if needed. I live in a desert so we always have sun and a 103 degree hot tub. I wish spaguts, or rather balboa, had a mode like this to not use the heater and only minimally use the pump at night. But its not spa guts' fualt bc it's a balboa rebadge at a better price. One good thing is it saves the temp and settings every time it turns off and on so that you don't have to reprogram your favorite temp every time it turns off.The jasco/enbrighten switch is great for pools and hot tubs. Its nice to be able to control my hot tub from my phone. I'm not sure how much scheduling the spa guts wifi board similar to this one gives you but I doubt it will be as precise as the zwave home automation platform. Very few things besides Vera and hub zwave work offline without internet. So my schedules will still work if the wifi is down with Vera.

Worked amazing
Was easy to install. Just make sure you follow and read all the instructions. Once it's all set up it's like a new hot tub.

We don’t dislike the product. We just don’t know how to decrease the temperature

Hot tub heater/ controler
Works like a charm. If you are replacing one be sure to look at the jumpers on the old unit.

Product malfunctioned.
Spa guys lasted about 4 days and fried the circuit board. Whatever occurred internally to the board did not trip the spa breaker. It work great for about 4 days though.
