So good Im ordering another.
It wasnt hard to put together, probably about a 10 minute job, but I made a point of reading the directions.I tested it out right away and was happy to find it worked.I now have it on my back patio and have been using almost every night. We have been getting close to 100 degree weather here and I havent used my pation in a while. Now with the misting fan, Im able to enjoy sitting outside in the day or evening. It really does make a noticeable difference in air temperature. It almost feels like I have an AC out there, blasting cool air on me. While it does cool the air, Ive noticed the first 8 or so feet closest to it is where you benefit most from it. That is why Im getting a second one to place at the other end of my patio. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because the pump is not whisper quiet. I wouldnt say its loud but you definetly hear it.Its not the prettiest fan I have seen but it does the job its made for - and since its light, it wont be a big deal to pack it away in the cooler months.

Keep the deck cool
We purchased this fan for the grandparent's deck. The past month has been hot and dry, yielding an unpleasant experience for Grandma and Grandpa. They have a retractable awning, but this only goes so far. The Misting fan works great to keep a cool breeze circulating in the area (about 300 square feet). The fan uses an air pump to pressurize the water in the misters. This is different from less expensive misting fans in that it truely generates a dry mist. This was important because Grandma enjoys reading outside and a wet book will not due. The air pump also adds a nice bit of weight to the bottom of the fan, helping prevent the unit from tipping over. Both these features were important to us because we've owned a less expensive mist fan in the past (in the $120 range) (no air pump, just wet mist); it tipped over and stopped working. Four out of Five stars because it is a little complicated to use at first (turn on water, turn on air pump, turn on fan; turn off water, turn off air pump, turn off fan).

In the category of " If Only"
We purchased two. The fan property works well on both. The micromist pump did not work at all on the first one. It worked for one usage on the second one. I'll add, that with the micromist working (for as long as it worked) it was extremely effective and provided considerable, dry, cooling!!!However, the water spray ended up working like a sprinkler. Soaking everyone and everything within reach. We now own two very expensive stand fans. Both will be returned.

Not bad
It does keep your immediate area cool and comfortable but the fan and mist is unfelt over some 15 feetUpdate ....... All the water hoses have several pin holes in them... So now it's just a fan

Mister Fan
This works great! You get the cooling mist with no soaking wet spray. I read a lot and didn't want my books wet, worked great! Drops the temp. right down.

Not easy to put together either
only got to use it one summer. it clogged up and then it no longer would work, it also leaked from day one no matter what I did to end sure it wouldn't. Not easy to put together either, but it was nice while it worked.

Great for summer
This is a professional grade misting device for a fraction of the cost of commercial misters. Will keep you cool in some very hot weather. Mist is fine enough not to damage books or magazines, or completely soak the user.
