Interesting...
Great product. When I opened the package, I found out that the people who sell them gave me an extra bonus tablet, so I decided to use it that very night. I didn't have too much foods in stock to test them on, but I did what I could.By themselves, the tablets really don't taste like anything. I picked up a sour or sweet note every now and then, but it was bland for the most part. It took around 2-3 minutes to dissolve. I also cleaned my tongue prior to testing.Cantaloupe Melon - Not much of a change. I noticed that it was slightly sweeter, as if someone sprinkled a pinch of sugar onto it.Orange - Probably my favorite. It took cheap oranges that have been sitting around for who knows how long, and turned them into probably the best oranges I've ever had. It didn't have the taste of confectionery sugar like the cantaloupe did, but the sweetness blended in perfectly.Lemon - Another great experience. I actually had two lemons. One was really old and on the verge of drying out, and the other was freshly sent to me from my aunt's lemon trees in California (I live in CT). The old lemon wasn't half bad, but it was a lot more sour than the fresh one. The fresh one was juicy. It tasted like a lemon head with a bit more of a sour note. If I had mixed it with some water, I'm pretty sure it would've been the best lemonade I've ever had.Tomato - Interesting. Like the cantaloupe, it didn't change too much. But I could definitely taste the sweetness. It's probably like two pinches of sugar this time.Blueberries - A runner up. Great flavor. Insanely sweet, and the blueberry flavor intensified by quite a bit. Really enjoyed these.Black Chinese Vinegar - I'd stay away from this one. Just use normal distilled vinegar. The Black Vinegar only had a hint of sour left, and a peculiar sweetness replaced it (not in a good way). I really don't know how to explain it. It was like the sweetness of fermented rice and a cup of sugar.Salt and Vinegar Chips - Takes the edge off of the vinegar, and it adds a slight sweetness. Not bad, but I'd much rather just eat the chips without the tablet.

Unripe Fruit? No Problem!
I had seen these and finally broke down and purchased a package, because I was too intrigued. I mainly purchased these so I could throw a flavor tripping party for some friends and family, but I was skeptical of how well they would actually work. To say I was blown away is an understatement.Half a pill works equally as well as a whole one, so make sure you cut these in half. You must absolutely let these dissolve all over your tongue otherwise the effect will be little to none (my dad found that out the hard way when he bit into a lemon). The taste of the pills is pretty icky in my opinion and dry like cardboard, but the results are totally worth it. I've found that the effects of the pill last a bit longer than 30 minutes. These do not alter the taste of foods; dark beer is not going to taste like chocolate (been there, done that), but anything with a sour or a bite to it will instantly become a delectable flavor trip. Lemons, grapefruit (which I hate), and granny smith apples are my top favorites. Sour cream does taste similar to cheesecake only not near as sweet, but interesting. Regular baking cocoa powder becomes tolerable, and apple cider vinegar...well it was unique although I think it tasted better without the pill! Really, you can use a bunch of foods to try rather than just fruits or veggies, but remember that the more bitter something is the better the effect will be.If you are like me and have a hard time eating fruit when it is out of season, this is your answer right here. I just ate a bunch of raspberries and a granny smith apple, and the taste was amazing and almost too sweet. For the price, these are expensive if you plan to purchase on a regular basis. These are definitely a novelty item, but experiment till your hearts desire.Final note: If you eat too much citrus or hot stuff, it will bite you back later. At too many lemons the first go around, and I had a stomachache from hell!Note: I did NOT receive this product for free or a discount. I paid for this product in full with my own money.
