Folkmanis Barn Owl Hand Puppet, White, Brown, 8"

We ordered this puppet for our 5 year old grandson who had asked for an owl with wings he could move. This owl fit the bill perfectly. He was a good size for carrying around and his softness made it possible for my grandson to sleep with him. His wings are perfect for flapping and holding as though he is gliding. The only suggestion I have is there should be more padding in the head. I stuffed it with filling to help hold its shape.

Sweet barn owl. Folkmanis puppets are great!

This owl is almost as real as those living in a barn in the Midwest where I live. He is sweet, soft, and lovable!! I have a stuffed Barn Owl collection of 31 owls, and he stands out. This guy will melt your heart and make you happy you bought him!!

I love folkmans puppets however this owl’s head was squished. The puppet part was difficult to work, nota lot to manipulate with this owl. It is very soft and beautiful like so many of their gorgeous puppets!

My kids are homeschooled & we do a theme each month. We used this owl for our "Bird Month". It worked great! We used it to read books. Our kids loved it! It held up great for them to play with too. Very soft!!

I've got several Folkmanis puppets, and they are all of high quality. This barn owl puppet is very attractive and well made. But be warned: it is more like a stuffed toy than a puppet. You really can't animate it. Neither the head nor the wings will move. I can manage to make the beak move just a little. So, while it is five stars as a good looking owl, it is maybe only two or three stars as a puppet.

I didn't find anything to dislike. This puppet will be used as enhancing material for children's programs on owls. It is perfect to capture kids attention and focus on topic.

This puppet is beautiful and very well-made and realistic-looking. I recommend it highly.

This puppet is gorgeous. It’s a very nice size and, contrary to other reviews, you can animate the face and wings. Like my chicken puppet, it takes two hands inside at the same time to do so. My medium sized hands fit but very large hands might not except one at a time. It doesn’t have a beak that opens but you can make the beak move and the eyes wink. It sits well and doesn’t fall over when not in use. Love it! Folkmanis makes great puppets. We have several and have never been disappointed.
