SuicideGirls: Beauty Redefined Hardcover – Illustrated, December 1, 2008

Ordered this book from Amazon because Suicide Girls wanted waaaay too much for it. 20 bucks is quite a steal for this massive hardcover volume. The pages are huge, thick heavy weight paper, and full color. The only thing lacking was the complete absence of text past the introduction. With nearly 400 pages my neck and eyes grew sore and eventually I had to set the book down. The book is mostly thin white girls in little to no clothes (of an emo/goth/punk nature mostly). This includes tons of tattoos, hair in unusual styles & color, body piercings, etc... Basically playboy but cooler (ergo no hardcore sex pics like in hustler or anything). In all well worth the 20 I paid, but I would have shelled out a few more if there had been text to accompany some of the pics. Even quotes from personalities past and present like SG Facebook uses when showing their daily pictorial teaser photo would have earned that extra star. Still a worthy buy for your bookcase.

I love SuicideGirls, I adore them. I have every other publication they offer and they're all top notch. This is the pinnacle of a pop culture Queen's magnificent, brief career. I love this book, however, a couple of major things kept this from being 5 stars. First, the photographs are wonderful, big, bold and beautiful, but the Photoshop tweaking of colors is a little too much. Second, where is Asia represented? Hello! Tokyo! But over 375 pages of the most beautiful women to ever walk the Earth, it's still worth every cent and faster shipping. Los Angeles women are inked supreme!

I couldn't think of a more appropriate title for this book. As a child of the 80's, I grew up in the era where tattoos and piercings started becoming acceptable. There is still a certain stigma attached to people with body mods, and much more so for a woman, but I have to say I find nothing more beautiful than a tattooed woman. This book will shed a new light on this subculture and show that these women are as beautiful, and to me even more so, than any mainstream fashion or runway model out there. This is a must see for anyone who loves the beauty of body art and for those curious about something they may have never seen like this before.

If you are an SG member you know what to expect. Lots of really awesome girls showing a different side to the world of "beauty" -- this is a good book to explore the SG gals. However I feel like it is a bit dated in that the "hard girls soft light" book that came out more recently is a bit "better" .... but still, worth the price of admission for certain --- but the new book only gets better!

I'm obsessed with the suicide girls. I was upset to see my favorite girl (drave) not featured in here!! Lovely book. Really heavy and large pics.

If you're a big fan of the Suicide Girls, you gotta have this book.It's great whether you're using for you own collection, or if you wanna shake things up a bit and use it for a coffee table book.I'm sure these awesome, tattooed beautiful women will expand the minds of people who visit your home.Maybe it'll serve as a conversation piece.

Mature rating for sure. Don't share with minor. Has the photographs from online collection of SuicideGirls. At least one of your favorite girl's photo will be in there. I like many of them. You might enjoy getting the membership online or keep this as an offline alternative for your online album access.

Lovely photos of suicide girls for those who like the SG style. Wouldn't say that it's "Art", I believe that everybody with some photo knowledge, good equipment and nice models can do those shots (some of my friends are living proof to it), but if you like suicide girls and want something more than site (like another media), this book is for you :)

I was more than impressed with this book when I recieved it. I didnt really know what I was expecting but it sure out did it. Its a good size with amazing photos. It couldnt get any better!

E' un volume decisamente ben fatto e di generose dimensioni, le fotografie sono di buona qualità e lo consiglio a chiunque non si accontenti delle immagini del sito "suicidegirls" ma voglia avere materialmente un bel libro da collezione.

wer ein Freund von tättowierten Frauen ist, der sollte sich diesen Hochglanz-Schinken holen.Schinken deshalb, weil das Buch doch ein beachtliches Format sowie Gewicht aufweist.Ich war voll und ganz Begeistert :)deutsches Gegenstück : Tattoo Erotica ( vierteljährlich )
