The 3 year old twins did need adult help the first couple of times we put the puzzle together. After 5 days, they were able to put the puzzle together between the two of them. After approx 10 days they were each able to complete the puzzle on their own (even though the puzzle pieces fit into multiple pieces). Thus, I agree I would have preferred that the pieces fit only into specific pieces, however, my nephews have learned where each piece goes and will reiterate terms such as "Georgia Peaches" and "Arizona Cactus". The other day, one of the twins saw a bridge and asked his mom if it was the "Golden Gate Bridge" - a great and fun way to learn. And the twins piece this puzzle together over and over. I am now buying the World Puzzle for their 4th birthday.

Bought this for my little ones, ages 5 and 3, so they would stop interrupting my older ones with their harder puzzles lol. They love it and after a few times of helping out it together, they're pros now lol.

My grandkids and their friends love this puzzle. It has been put together and pulled apart so many times, and it remains in excellent condition.You can add a little learning experience for each child depending on their age and interests. I even like it, though, of course, prefer my 1,000 piece puzzles.

Pros:👍LOVE how challenging this puzzle is to a three year old who can finish a 25 piece puzzle in no time👍I can teach my daughter where her daddy, grandparents, great grandparents and other family members live or used to live all around the U.S. We would let my husband talk about the state he grew up in and fun things she could see should we make a visit there some day👍It’s a good size, not too big, not too small. The letters are large enough to see and piece togetherCons:☹️Big con to me for this one is the fact that the puzzle pieces are SO GLOSSY! When we did it early in the day while there was daylight, it was still ok. But when we worked on it before bedtime with the lights in the house on, I could hardly see the pictures and the letters.☹️The plastic bag that comes with it is made for the puzzle pieces to fit in there in the exact manner. What I meant is it took me good 10 minutes to try to stuff all the pieces back into the bag and zip it all back up. It might have been harder than the puzzle itself. Lol☹️Some pieces do not have enough “giveaways” but that’s not the reason why I knocked 1 star off of this

The capitol of each state is marked here too, with a star. It is incredibly hard to see on some of the states, but all in all, this is a fun, informative puzzle that my boys love to do.They also like to take the pieces and see how many states they can fit inside of Texas. It's very nice quality.

This is a great tool to help your little one learn and understand the states. The only major problem is that most all the pieces are the exact same shape. So I had to correct my child a few times in order for the puzzle to make sense. It may cause a little frustration with younger kids because the piece fits but the picture doesn't. Just provide some guidance and everything should be fine. I purposely put the puzzle together incorrectly in the picture just to show you how all the pieces will fit together perfectly but in the wrong places.

I didn't realize it was foam, I just wanted a puzzle of the United States like I had when I was little. I found it really helped me a lot. This one was wonderful because it had certain things like a lobster for Maine or a potato for Idaho. I was able to ask my grandchildren - do you remember where the potato goes... At 4 and 5 years old they have done this puzzle over and over again so I bought the world map to go with it.

It has all states and their capitals, which is nice, although Alaska is crammed down below California. Each state is not an individual piece, and each piece is capable of being attached to any other piece, so it is really a matter of going by the states visible on the piece. They're big and colourful pieces, so it isn't too much of a challenge for kids.After a few uses, the image plastic is starting to peel off the foam. It is relatively easy to glue back on, but I'm not sure how this will withstand rigorous use. Since every piece is the same shape, it'll be annoying to have a blank foam piece that can go anywhere should the image fall off.
