Color:Pink Lilies Created in the impressionistic style and inspired by Van Gogh's portrayals of lilies in the fields of province, France where he painted most of his life, this formal art glass window is as unique as a summer's day. The stylized pink lilies and their graceful curving leaves and stems are the focus of a wonderfully balanced organic design. The beaucoup de Fleurs Tiffany-style stained glass window is highlighted by opulent sky blue glass shown to advantage when hung in a sunny spot letting in the light but preserving your privacy. With an artisan's eye, each piece of Design Toscano distinct high quality art glass is hand-cut, copper-foiled, and individually soldered in glazier's lead, taking over two full days to create. Our exclusive work of high quality stained glass art has the look of a fine period antique. Scroll brackets and chains are included for window hanging. This is authentic, hand-crafted art glass; variations of texture and color are part of the process. 23"Wx12"h. 4 lbs.

Nice piece of glass with a little work!
When I saw this piece online I thought it was perfect to go with a similar piece of antique glass I had installed in the house. When I received it I still thought it was nice but the craftsmanship looked very rushed and not consistent. There truly is a good side and a bad side of glass, but from afar it is not quite as noticable. What made this piece look new and not quite as nice was the sloppy leading. First off it was black which made the glass look very cheap. And for me I needed the leading to match closely with the antique piece.I considered returning the window, but instead thought that I might be able to use one of my crafty antiquing tricks to get the window to match more closely to our other window. I went to Michael's and picked up a Sharpie oil based metalic silver marker. It comes in water based as well but it does not work for this purpose. It also comes in a few different points, I use the fine tip. What I did was colored over all of the black leading to tone down the black. It does make it silver and very light, but it looks better than the black. At this point it still did not resemble real leading. However, if you take hand sanitizer gel and rub it over the leading (no I'm not kidding) there is a chemical reaction when you rub it in and the oil based paint goes to a dark lead gray when you try to rub it off, and antiques it. Because it's an oil based paint it will not come off with the sanitizer. It just takes the lightness out. It may work with alchohol, but I found that the gel is less messy and easier to control. It took about an hour and a half to complete the painting and stripping process, but once finished it looked almost exactly like our antique piece. The only difference is with real leading it is very think and the leading on this piece is very narrow which is because afoul wrapped technique was used and not a lead line technique.I did not hang the piece with the hardware as I was installing the window in one of our two passthrough from our kitchen to hall. I ended up creating a wood frame for it and added a couple extra stained glass panels that I picked up at a stained glass supply store.Overall it's a nice piece with lots of potential. For most I think it's fine out of the box which was well packaged for shipping I must say. For my needs I just needed to make adjustments to meet my needs since this was being permanently added to our house. Good luck!

Boo. Colors were more purple than brown. Design sloppy looking. Not as visually nice as picture. Had to return.

A large Tiffany-style stained glass panel supplied with fixings for window hanging
This large stained glass panel from Design Toscano is designed to be hung at a suitable window and comes complete with fixings and chains to attach to the scroll-brackets at the top of it's frame. If you are the creative type you could mount the panel in a number of other ways, but if hanging as intended you may wish to consider using your own sturdy fixings if you are not completely happy with ones supplied. This panel is coloured in subtle shades of amber and cream, and has a Victorian-look in the Tiffany-style. It comes supplied with an informative leaflet telling a brief history of stained glass, a comprehensive description of the modern copper-foil technique known as the Tiffany method, plus the safe way to clean the delicate glass pieces when they becomes discoloured. This panel measures 38cm by 76cm (15" by 30") and weighs 2.75 kg (6 lbs) - as each one is hand-crafted every piece is unique featuring individual variations in texture and colour. This Victoria Lane panel will look rather special when hung in the right location – perhaps allowing the soft glow of the morning sun to shine through the antique-style glass – it will also provide a degree of privacy where required. This panel is currently over two hundred pounds from Amazon but it is well made for the price and would make a unique and unusual eye-catching feature when mounted in the right window – perhaps in a study or library.

Nice But.......
I must start this review by saying I am a bit puzzled as to the use/benefit one will derive from this. If you can figure out how to use it, I have to say it is a lovely piece of Tiffany style glass. The glass itself is quite large and is made to a high standard. This is the 5th Toscano piece I have tested and all but one have been well made. It comes with a chain and fixing hooks and depending on where you hook it up, is easy to fix in place. The stained glass is not quite what I used to see as a child living in an original Victorian house with leaded lights. This is a simple design and uses three colours amber, cream and brown. It comes with an information leaflet, explaining the history of stained glass and how this piece was made. It's very informative. The panel measures 38cm by 76cm and weighs about 2.7 kg. Overall, this is a well-made piece of glass. I hung it up in a conservatory to test it, but in all honesty, I am struggling to know where to put it for the longer term. Its very nice, but I have no idea how to fully utilise it.

How best to display?
This is rather beautiful, being well made with a traditional design but in fairly muted clours (do not be fooled by the middle photo in the listing which shows a different product and is pure to illustrate how it can be hung). It is heavy and as such I am not sure that I would trust the fixings supplied. To see it at its best you really need the light shining through. I am afraid it doesn't really fit any of my windows which tend to height rather than width. So a fairly niche product - but it it is what you are after buy with confidence.

Pretty and unusual
In muted shades of cream, amber and browns, this is a pretty and unusual glass decorative panel that comes to life when the sun/light streams through it. It comes with hooks to hang it and feels heavy/robust. Very eye-catching as a window decoration especially in a south-facing room.
