The deer have really decimated my gardens this year. I've tried all kind of things to keep them out but they have literally mowed down half of my beds. I've tried dog hair, human hair, RepelsAll and other commercial products without success. I was having to go out on my porch to chase deer out of my gardens. I haven't seen a deer close to the house since I put these out. The instructions are NOT very clear about how to put them out. The wires are U-shaped but don't work well in that configuration. You need to straighten them out then use needle-nose pliers to make a hook at the top for them to really hang well and at the correct height. Took me a couple of tries to get it right.

My hosta plants still look like celery stalks. Three of them and a 4 foot radius do not deter the deers.

Since I started using these little sashes around my garden the deer do not bother my plants at all. They are discrete, not smelly for humans, and have a wide effective keep out range for deer. They are easy to set up and last all summer.

I've bought these for the past two summers (2023/2024). I use the stakes and stake them throughout the mulch around where my flowers are located. They've worked to keep the deer away but the raccoons on the other hand are a different story. It seems to attract them. Almost every day for the past 2 weeks I've found them unstaked and laying upside down in various places throughout my flower bed. I've put them back in place, (when I do the stuff inside comes out) and the next morning repeat. I've had to buy a animal repellent to keep them away from them. So bottom line they work just beware of the raccoons that are attracted to them.

I tried these in an effort to keep deer off my property and encourage them to go elsewhere for snack time, nap time, and a bathroom break. This product seems like a good idea but the deer in my suburban don't care about them at all. I placed a ring of these things as a parimiter keep them out my front yard and they literally walk right through without hesitation and a few actually stopped to smell the units before casually moving on.Total waste of money if you're trying to deal with suburban deer that are used to people, dogs , cars, etc.
