TROPICA - Angel‘s Trumpet / white (Brugmansia suaveolens) - 10 SeedsWorth knowing: This Angel‘s Trumpet with its large, white flowers of 30 cm in length belongs to the strongly growing plants branching early and growing to a height of about 3,5 metres.Origin: Originally native in South Brasilia, the plant nowadays can be found in many areas of South America, the Caribbean and in Tropical Africa.Propagation: Seeds can be started from February until September. Soak the seeds in water at room temperature for 12 hours and plant them 1 cm deep in moist seed starting soil. With temperatures of about 20°C, germination should follow within 2 to 4 weeks.Place / Light: A bright and sunny location that should, however, be protected from midday sun is ideal. Since its many, large-seized leaves present a very good target for the wind, the plant rather prefers to be placed in a wind-protected spot than in a completely open place.Care: Water plentifully during summer, best, in the morning and in the evening. The root-bale has to be soaking wet; otherwise the leaves will become limp and will quickly hang down. From May until October, the Angel‘s Trumpet should be supplied with tub plant fertilizer once a week. The need for nutrients is very high. Choose a planting medium of extra large size.Winter period: Water less from autumn on and let the plant overwinter in temperatures of 4 to 10°C. A room with good air circulation is ideal - it might even be dark. Thin out the branches and prune the plant either in winter or in spring. Repot the plant every year.Bonsai Suitability: NoCaution: Seeds and plant are poisonous!
