Air Tech 317774A 1/4-Mile 14 Gauge Electric Fence Wire, No Size, No Color

HUGE amount of wire for such a small price; I used it for a couple hundred Christmas projects and had plenty left to spare for next year. Good sturdy wire for art projects (and I hear you can use it for fencing applications too).

Good wire. been keeping it outside exposed to the elements for at least 6 months without any stain/rust.

Much smaller than advertised

Wire is functionally sound. However, the entire spool was already badly oxidized when I received it. This seems to be a detriment to its' lifespan as I've noticed rusty areas on the wire already after only having it outdoors in use for a little over a month. At this rate, I'll be needing to replace it in less than a year. Think I'll look for better quality wire next time, even if it is a few dollars more.

Very good price. No problems. My spool held up well unlike other comments.

I am writing this as one of those weirdos who makes chainmail by winding thick wire around a mandrel and cutting it into rings. So I have no idea how this stuff works as electric fence wire. Sorry!But as chainmail material, it's great! I have used several brands at this point, and some of them have an excess of oil on the wire. This is good in some ways, since it protects against corrosion, but not so good in most ways, since it's difficult to clean off and is messy to work with. It's better to have oil-free metal that isn't corroded. And that is exactly what this is! Nice, shiny galvanized steel with no corrosion or oily residue.It takes me a while to get through 1/4 mile of wire, but when I need more I will definitely be looking for this brand again.

The 14 gauge wire is perfect, galvanized finish is holding up well in coastal Florida with no signs of rust yet. When unreeling the cardboard spool starts to shred itself pretty easily, but hey it isn't meant to last. If wire is what you're looking for this is a great price for 1/4 mile of 14 gauge.FYI, my application is for the garden for guiding vines, raspberry bushes, guide wire for newly planted tree, etc... where previously used twine and rope always fell apart in like 4-6 months.
