Eathtek Replacement AC DC Power Jack Plug Socket Cable Harness for Acer Aspire 5750 5750G 5750G-2312G50 5750TG 5750Z 5750ZG series

This is not a simple item the average person can buy and install. You need to be handy, and understand what you are doing as far as the breakdown process of your computer. This is the second time I have had to replace the power jack on my Acer 5750. Everytime the power jack breaks, it is because of a the ground connection solder joint breaking. This is a cheap fix for those willing to undertake this project. This item fits and works just fine, however, it is slightly longer than the original connector I had. There was slightly more excess wire that needed to hidden and tucked awa before closing and sealing my laptop back together.

I installed this in my acer aspire 5750G and it's working. Four stars because the section of cable between the input jack and wound section is longer than the original cord. It did fit after I looped it once and found a place to tuck the loop. Also, the cable coming off the back of the jack was bent to almost 90 degrees and appeared somewhat crushed. This is the part of the cable that tends to break (hence the repair) so I'm crossing my fingers that it doesn't break again. But for now, it's in and working fine.

So far so good after installing. The new harness was maybe 2" longer than the stock one so I had to make room to tuck the extra cable out of the way. Other than that it works fine and arrived quickly.

Worked like a charm and saved a perfectly fine Acer laptop from getting recycled. Acer has (and possibly other laptop manufacturers too) hidden the plug socket cable deep in the underbellies of the laptop way beneath the motherboard. So getting to it took some effort and online video help. But once there, it is just a matter of unplugging the old defective socket cable and plugging this one in, putting back all the screws in place and charging the laptop back on!

I have an acer 5750. As others have said, it's a bit long for the model, but I took out the left speaker and found a place to tuck it without bending it or looping too much. I did not remove a star because the length is in the description. Doing this repair myself saved me a lot of money, and I definitely learned a lot. Next time, I'll write down where all the screws go...

Easy to install. Wasn't the actual problem but at least I had a new power jack. Works fine now with new power cord.

A bit long as others have said, but better long than too short. Fixed my laptops charging issues like a charm.

Works great so far for my Acer Aspire 5750-6438! It is a tad longer than the original but a lot shorter than the other replacement I had. Thank you so much for adding that sliver of tape so it can be kept in place.
