THIS UNIT CAN"T BE SERVICED!
Cooler worked fine for just under 2 years then quit. Called a repair tech our area that Cool Clear emailed to us. He came out, checked and said it needed a new fan and relay. He called Cool Clear for parts and they said this unit is UNSERVICABLE and would not supply the parts. They said we'd need to buy a new one and sent a link for a new one that was $300 more than we had paid for. Then we noticed that the case cover was riveted, not screwed, so they were right. I is not meant to be serviced. Buyer beware

Needed a better draining system
Not sure it is cooling enough. More time is necessary.Needed a better draining system. I had to have and extra drain hose added.

Working like a champ
Working like a champ! Keeping my 350 bottles nice and cool. I know this was built for a larger cellar, which is the long term goal, however with the price difference I couldn't see getting a smaller unit. Worked right out the gates at 55 degrees, the temperature is still evening out in the bottles but this turns on half the time the old one use to turn on!

Works beuatifully.
So far, this cooler works beautifully. The acid test will be for how long. We have had two other coolers that only lasted 3-4 years. So now we're on our third cooler since building the wine room 11 years ago.

Might be the best of the worst
The temperature controller has failed twice in the past few years. This last time, I installed a temp controller from eBay for $10. The quality of build for the unit is very low for the price they charge. I drilled out the rivets the first time unit failed and was shocked with the craftsmanship of the build. I modified the drainage system to preven rust on other areas since caulk they used had already failed. The products available online however are limited.
