Round leather cord, 3 mm, antique brown - 30 metres antique brown

This seems like one of those listings where the product being sent has diverged from the one being advertised some time ago but no one has done anything about it. The leather arrived as a large hank in a plastic bag rather than on a roll, which is quite frustrating if you were hoping to be able to conveniently dispense it off the roll while working. Probably not a concern for those only ordering a small amount, but if you are making 100 necklaces this makes a big difference to speed!The finish is close-to but not the same as that pictured. Notably, it is a bit darker and the finish is glossy. It isn't a uniform colour like some have said, but the antique effect is more subdued than in the pictures. The glossy coating has a horrible feel and is generally a little coarser and less supple than some other brands. I also noticed that where the leather is spliced, the join is so poor that you can easily pull the two pieces apart with no effort. No way could I send that to a customer. So on a 100m 'roll', expect maybe 5m to be wasted because of this. Otherwise this is a decently strong cord for a cheap price, if you want the really nice stuff you have to spend about 40% more.

Nothing like the picture. Not antique. Heavily costed. Hard to work with.

This is smooth, glossy and even coloured dark brow, not antique finish as portrayed in the picture.

I normally buy my leather cords from a well known leather supplier in London. To be honest it’s cheaper but definitely this one is much better quality! Only complain I have is it came too shiny last time I purchased! But I still love it!

Not real leather, not a roll as shown in photo. Can't be bothered to return.

I needed some leather cord for various projects and this is perfect for what I need. Very strong, good quality cord.

Not impressed at all a lot thinner than expected

Good for all sorts of things - much better than old laces for conkers!
