...buy a new blade.I bought this to replace the blade in my Vaughn "Bear" handsaw. It is identical to the original and restores the fine cutting ability of the saw. The blade is made of stainless steel and is just the right flexibility for it to be incredibly versatile. I am not one of these "throw away" kinda people ...which is how a lot of products are made today (because most are cheaply ...as in like garbage ...made in China) ...and being able to buy genuine replacement blades for my saw makes me very happy. Kinda funny how none of the "Greenies" out there have raised a finger about our "throw away" culture. Okay, off the soapbox. The blade is made in Japan which is where the draw saw was invented and where some of the finest ones come from.

These are the best blades of this type that I have found. They are very sharp and and the kerf is very small reducing waste of hardwoods. The Pull style also all but eliminates crooked cuts that you can get with a conventional saw.

The Vaughan Bear Saw is an extremely useful hand tool for a wide variety of woodworking applications. This replacement blade is the same high quality as the original.

I have been using this saw for years, lightweight and fast smooth cuts and a hole in the end to hang them.
