That stupid folding fork . . .
The torch was easy to fill and lit right up. Easily adjustable flame size. So far happy with item and feel it is well worth the price. Unlike others, I have not been able to get sugar to caramalize on my creme brulee after several attempts. The sugar browns just fine, but it clumps into little balls instead of spreading out. I'll keep trying - and I'm sure it has nothing to do with the torch.Sadly, the odd "folding fork" the seller included (I assume as a gift, since I see no use for it - other than maybe roasting a marshmallow with your new torch?) damaged/chipped the finish in several places on the base of the torch during shipping. This is because the fork was loosely inserted into the torch box and therefore moved/bounced around during shipment. No effect on the usefulness of the torch, but nonetheless a (very minor) disappointment to open a newly-purchased item and find it cosmetically damaged. Note to seller: Consider not including the fork - I doubt many people want it or choose your product because of it.

Easier to use!!
I was using another torch for cooking. The torch was inconvenient because it was not rechargeable. This one is rechargeable and easier to store and use. Fire intensity can also be adjusted so it is more advantageous to cook.

Perfect for sous vide steaks
I just used it to sear my spud vide steaks this weekend. This was twice as large as my last butane flame and got the crisp much faster. The flame is sharp and heats fast. The replaceable canister versions seems more logical choice if you use it a lot.

Easy to use
I love this cooking torch. Easy to fill and fills quick. I used on 8 cream brule and did not have to refill. Does not come with butane. I went to a cigarette shop close by to buy a can of butane. The handle does not get hot. Has a lock safety feature. Cant wait to use on salmon.

Compact and easy to use!
It's small and easy to use! Looking to make some creme brulee. Excited it came in and I think I got an extra gift - camping compact fork which is a plus :)
