I was looking all over the web for a coffee which is a fresh 100% Arabica that is similar or better to Starbucks. I searched for hours and looked at 100s of varieties and brands when I stumbled onto this brand. All I can say is this coffee is THE best coffee I have ever had. Whether you are looking for a hot brew, espresso, or other style of brew this coffee is versatile, robust, mellow, and is roasted within 24 hours prior to shipment. Absolutely incredible! I will never, ever, buy any other brand again...ever.And if this review doesn't prop itself up then add that "100% profits go to orphaned children" and that it is a Christian organization. With or without the companies' compassion and spiritual integrity this coffee is stupendous! Buy it now and you will not regret it.

I purchased this not knowing about the 100% profits going towards orphan children - I am even more impressed now. Solid coffee - I love the fruitiness of Yirgacheffe. The only "wish" is that the bag was a little easier to open - the way it is set up, you really need to store it in another container. But that is a very small gripe for what is a great product supporting a great cause.

This one doesn't have a bitter aftertaste so I'm sold. I came across yirgacheffe about 20 years ago and it was very expensive. But I tried it anyway to see the difference between a $10 bag and $40 bag. I almost fell over when I tried it. First the smell was unbelievable, so I said to myself this is gonna be good. Wow you wouldn't believe how much better it was. Almost 10 times better but now the $40 bag cost over $200. I can live with this one its 10 times better than horrible starbucks or grocery stores. Plus its light roast and that is high caffine which wakes me up real quick.

This is not a light roast, coffee has distinct burnt flavors consistent with a dark roast. Not any better than cheap grocery store coffee...

I've looked for good Yirgacheffe coffee before on Amazon, but other roasters either over-roast the beans or they charge way too much. These guys are great - the coffee is a light roast, super fresh and a good value - totally delicious too. Plus, 100% of their profits go to and orphanage - something you don't see often.
