Purchased May 9, 2019 and is still flowing like it's new on Mar 17, 2021
Purchased May 9, 2019 and is still flowing Mar 17, 2021. I have no issues with this fountain. Its been in the birdbath 12 months a year (bath heated in winter) only to be removed periodically for debris removal from the water intake area. A simple hose rinse does the job. Currently the solar film is cloudy but the film is still working great. When the time comes I will buy another one.

Don't waist your money, Amazon has better options...
It did not last very long. It stops pretty much the second it's out of the sun. It's been about a month and it no longer works at all.

Drains the Bird Bath in only a few hours
I have a large bird bath that holds a lot of water. The solar pump worked fine but would float, the suction cups at the bottom of the unit did not work. The result was that the unit floated and pumped the bird bath dry within a few hours.I would NOT recommend

I would purchase again
works great for my birdbath. I made 1 adaptation to the fountain...I placed eight metal washers large enough to go over the spout but small enough so they didn't cover the solar panels. I did this to weigh down the fountain so it would not float since the birdbath is only approx. 20in. in diameter and the fountain needed to stay in the middle so it wouldn't spay outside of the bath and onto the ground. The washers were easy to find at HomeDepot.

Works well in direct sunlight... requires an "outrigger"r
I bought this is sort of an experiment since my father has a very large pond parentheses converted swimming pool close parenthesis full of fish and now Turtles! The problem I detected was that the water lily leaves cast shadow or extend out like a palm tree only tiny. Alas it is just enough of an extension to cover the little solar panels. After some analysis I realized I needed to put a larger ring sort of the size of a small hula hoop around the perimeter with the little fountain suspended in between the edges. It's just enough to keep the floating plants away and also provides a window for the fish to come up and visit. Without exception I think it is a marvelous product and I'm pleased with how it has worked out. As long as there is direct sun and it is not smothered by plants it works really well!

Didn't work well
I thought this was going to be a great thing. If it would have stayed in one place in the birdbath that might have been the case, but the slightest breeze would blow it to the edge and soon empty the birdbath. I couldn't get the suction cups on the bottom to hold it in one place. Even rocks placed about it didn't really help. So sad it didn't work for our purposes.Very easy to assemble.Nice flow from the fountain.

Exceeded My Expectations
The Amyer solar fountain far exceeded my expectations.-No assembly necessary-Works in my birdbath with 1.25" of water-Functions in much lower light then I expected, including cloudy days and indirect sunlight. The more direct sunlight the higher the stream of water.-Water stream height from the pump is excellent-Multiple fountain heads are included that give the user a choice of streamsI could go on about how pleased I am with this unit. It provides my birdbath with an additional dynamic of beauty.Oh, by the way the birds also enjoy it!

It tends to float all around the bowl causing the spraying effect to empty the bowl
I may have to tether this with string to keep it in the center of bowl. Because it doesn't stay centered it's always moving around in bowl...this causes the water spraying to spray outside the entire bowl, causing me having to refill 3 times a day. Therefore I will probably tether it with string to see if that will work. Otherwise, its cute, inexpensive, and I love no batteries to deal with!
