This is as good as I'd hoped it would be. Very sturdy safety straps, love the way it installs. The dog will not go flying if there were an accident nor could it free itself and run out the door if the door were opened after an acciden't, that's really critical. I have a 7lb chihuahua who fits easily. The seat is installed in a 2019 Subaru Outback on the console between the front seats, it's a snug but great fit. Love this car seat!

I just got this for our 15lb Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix, and we are so happy with it! I was a little unsure of what size to get based on the other reviews, which is why I am writing one. Our dog is 15lbs, and while it is a little tight for him, since the seat is soft, he is able to snuggle down in and it works fine. The only problem I had with it is that the strap that goes under the front of the console is too long, and I need to adjust it more. But I was able to attach the back ones under the back of the front seats. Our little guy happily rode in it the whole trip. He usually climbs all over us wanting to sit in our laps, and likes sitting up on the console anyway, but had no traction. Just a little tip - I found if you look it up a day or two before you buy it on the Amazon site, the site sends it back to you in a day or so at a lesser price. I am very satisfied with it!

I have a small ShiPoo that we take everywhere. We used to place her in the back seat in a doggy bed that attaches to the cars seat belt. But she likes being close to us and would constantly try and jump into the front seats. Having her ride on the front seat would be dangerous if the airbag deployed and we had no easy way to belt her in. Years ago I bought a similar product for her to use in another car. She loved it so when I bought a new truck (Tacoma) I started to look for another car seat for her. The previous seat was a Snoozer and I was really happy with it so I looked for the same brand. The large size wouldn't fit (too wide) so I had to go with the small size. The seat is well made (main structure is stiff foam) it has a removable cover and a soft pad inside (where the dog would sit). Overall I am pleased with the seat, but I wished it was a little bit longer (like 3 or 4 inches), my ShiPoo weights 14 lbs and she barely fits in the seat length wise. The width is fine. Maybe offer it in different lengths. I do like the way it attaches firmly to the truck with two straps and has a safety strap to attach to her harness.

It’s cute and comfy. My puppy has separation anxiety unless she’s able to touch me. She barked a lot to tell me she hates riding in the passenger seat, so I bought this. She is now quiet for our rides. She seems to enjoy looking out the windows and being able to lean her head on my shoulder.

I wrestled between two stars and three. This product is exactly what it says it is and works as described. Our seven pound Maltese seemed to like it (only had her in it for one ride) and she fit well, but I wouldn't recommend the small size for a dog any larger than her. The issue is, she was comfortable but I was not. The complete loss of the armrest made me feel cramped and uncomfortable as the driver. If having the armrest is important to you, this may not be the right product. As for installation, it was more difficult than I expected it to be. Adjusting the straps to the correct length was somewhat difficult as was feeding them through the space between the driver and passenger seats and seatbacks. Snapping and unsnapping the clips while reaching awkwardly down the side of the seats was very difficult. This presents a dilemma. The installation difficulty makes putting the seat in and out of the car impractical. It would be better to just leave it installed. However this means that you lose the armrest all the time, whether your dog is with you or not. Both outcomes are unacceptable. The reason I was torn between two and three stars is that the product works well, appears to be well made and the dog likes it. Despite all this I think I need to return it.

…they charged me over $16 to send back the exchange. I had planned on ordering a larger size but you can keep the money. I’ll buy from someone else.This thing didn’t even hold my 4 month old Yorkie comfortably. It was uncomfortably small and extremely warm. It’s insulated with fake shearling and just feels so gross. I can’t imagine how my poor dog felt in this thing, I could barely touch it without cringing.

Very plush and well made! It never shifted on many turns in the road. Perfect for travelling. Depending on your vehicle, there are various ways of securing the 2 back straps attached to the rear of the bed. . .I took off the head rests (front driver and passenger), and put each loop from the back of the doggy seat around the stem of the headrest before re-inserting. Holds it very secure, or you can secure the ties to the bottom of the seats. We just bought a travel trailer and this bed will be perfect. . . also got a different Snoozer model for our other little dog for the back seat. We strapped her in the center where she can look straight out the front windshield. We will use these for weekends in our small CX-5 and for travelling in our big Tundra. . . fits both. . .

I have tried another seat for my little 5lb Yorkie but because it was put in the back seat and not within stalking distance of me, he cried and tried to jump out.. With that being said, I purchased So he could be right next to me and he LOVES it!!! It's very soft so he's always comfortable and he is high up and can see everything even when he's laying down. It has 3 straps to keep it secure. The 2 straps located at the back end are designed to strap to the bar at the bottom of each seat(driver & passenger) and the smaller strap underneath straps to the underside of the lid of the middle console. If I don't have him with me, I simply open my console, unstrap it and slide it down between the console and the back seat. When I need it again, I simply slide it back up and buckle. There is also a strap on the inside to attach to his harness. Although this seat will not protect him from an accident, it will keep him from getting thrown out of the car or flying through the windshield...

My dog loves this. She was not a great traveller previously and hated being in her carrier in the back seat or held (which isn't safe anyway). Now she loves having this seat. She even rests her hand on your shoulder while driving sometimes. I have a 5-6 lb Morkie Poo, and she has enough room in the seat. She is long, and thin. I'm not sure that a dog that is much bigger then her would fit in the small. My only complaint is that it can get in the way a bit where your elbows go, so we sometimes move it when she's not with us. But that small annoyance is worth the benefit of the item. We were able to take her on a road trip 4 hours each way, and she loved it. She curled up and slept for part of the ride, or watched the scenery.

Nice looking bed but my Maltese kept jumping out and was left dangling in the air by her harness. Had to return as she didn't like it.

We put this in our Jetta. It fits the console well and still allows us to shift. Our 8 lb yorkie is a little big for it, but she still lays in it and hangs her head over. Our 7 lb chihuahua fits perfectly. Way better quality than I envisioned. It's sturdy and well worth the money.

We love this for our little puppy! He's about 5 pounds, he's a bichon frise/maltese mix. It fits great in the center consol, he loves being up front with his moms. He jumps right for it when we get in the car. Definitely a great buy!
