Great read M/F/M, HEA ending
I love this authors writing. I love connecting to each of the characters in this story. I did receive an advanced copy of the book, but I also bought the book because I loved this love story.Overview. Layla was a lawyer, but after her boss made some sexual comments about her, she was fired but given a severance from him. Layla's best friend Teague (boy), talked her into investing in her own cupcakery. Things were going great until they got a notice that the building was for sale. Layla was stressed and her friends encourage her to go to a fancy party. Layla meets Max a famous guy that is hiding in her hiding spot. They sneak off and soon start dating. But Teague gets jealous of them. So max tries to win Teague over. But soon they find themselves in an entwined relationship. But big drama will happen and the 3 need to decide if love will continue to burn? Kristy Dean

Sweet love
I received an advance reader copy of this book.I so wanted to love this book because was not to love. First you get twosexy guys and cupcakes what more can a girl ask for. My heart went out to Teague he was so in love with Layla and she could not see it. Teague went out of his way to deal with Layla he would drop everything for he. Layla made me mad for the most part of the story. She was all about herself if it was not about her she did not care. Even when Teague went out with her when he did not want to he still went. When Teague needed her she dropped him. When Layla started to see Max she forgot about everything when Teague called her on her own bs she got made. Then one day Max shutdown a theme park just for them. Max knows he wants both of them so he drops hints for Teague. Teague wants both of them so he makes his move. Teague can't believe it so he just goes with it. Then all hell breaks loose the next day when they found out what Max is up to. Teague is pissed an goes to let Max have it. But Max ends up having him. The next day when Teague goes to talk to Layla she get mad and calls him names but they talk it out. Then Teague pours his heart out to her and she just dismiss him. Layla tries to make it all about her again but Teague just walks away. Layla goes on with everything as usual and don't even think about what Teague has told her. Teague wants a day to his self but Layla just walks in like nothing happened and has a ideal for a way to save the shop but some how they end up in bed. The day of the bake off they find out about Max and his wife. they are both mad and end up locking themselves out of the building. Max finds them they fight and Layla and Teague go back in and win. Now we have Max we don't really know anything about him besides he has more money than God. He wants both of them and wants to by there business. And out of nowhere some lady comes in and think she is if wife. Max tells her she is crazy and that's all we get from Max and her. I feel like this could have been a great story but it was missing a lot. We don't know anything about Max but he is rich. And the wife thing was just put in out of nowhere. Then Teague is just sad he has no backbone to save his life Layla and Max walks all over him. Layla is weak and all about herself. There was no passion between them at all. The love sex scenes did not have any Heat are passion. I so wanted this to be a great book like all her books I just couldn't connect with it.

Not the velvet I was looking for.
I was to receive an advance copy of this book but I had so many other things going on at the time that I told Nicole that I would not make the deadline for the review so I would have to pass. I bought the book anyway as I love her work and I just finished reading it. I was looking forward to this being my favorite but it was not. There were many mistakes in the editing which were distracting. I am a literary snob so this is off-putting to me. I have read many of her books and there are those issues in them as well but this one was slow and it was distracting. Maybe, I am being too harsh in saying slow. The story line just didn't grab me like her other books. First of all, Layla was so into her own needs and wants that she could not see her best friend as not only that but the man who was totally in love with her. He was Lancelot and she used him as a doormat. Shame on her. Then here comes the prince of her dreams and poor Teague (Lancelot) is dumped as though he had a rash. I enjoyed parts of this story and I loved the banter between Teague and Layla, mostly Teague, but it just wasn't the usual Stewart quality I expected. As I said before, "it just didn't grab me" like her other stories. I did like the ending though, it was cute. I await your next book as I am sure it will be great.

Humor, Hot Men and Yummy Cupcakes!!!!
I just love a good MMF book. Nicole always comes through. This is an easy, enjoyable read. I think Teague is my favorite, he is so easy to like. Layla has such a sense of humor which I really love. Her going to the party as Bea, her friend was a good idea for Bea. I was surprised it took so long for them to come clean on making the switch. I also thought Layla hooked up with Max kind of soon in the book. But it wasn't over the top. The best part for me was Teague, his first time with Layla. However I just loved their first almost time together. It broke my heart to see Teague leave and go home after Layla's phone rang and it was Max. The switch up at the bakery was awesome. Surprised they pulled it off. This is a good book. You will love it.

Scrumdiddlyomptious
Red Velvet is a MMF erotic romance comedy. It's about lawyer turned cupcakery owner Layla and her best friend who's also the co-owner of the cupcakery, Teague. They've been friends for a long time and in business together for a year. Their lives change the night Layla goes to a gala and meets a gorgeous man named Max. This book is overflowing with steam, sex, humor and conflict. I enjoyed this story a lot and found myself not wanting to put it down. Layla is quirky and a bit strange whereas Teague is beyond loyal and smitten with her. Max is sex on a stick and the one that brings them together. Great book.

Sweets For The Sweets?
I love this book. This is the story of Layla, Teague, and Max. It's laugh out loud funny, with a series of missteps, and mistakes that almost pull the three apart.Ms. Stewart's writing just gets better with each book. Her plot is solid, the story moves well, and the characters, all of them, are decent, caring, people. Even the dumb cluck of a villain is well drawn. If you like well written love stories about people who discover that something is missing in their lives, and are willing to fight to get and keep it, this is the book for you.

Meh.
Teague was an ok character and so was Layla. Max was bland and pointless. There was chemistry with the friends to lovers aspect with regards to Teague and Layla, but Max brought nothing to the relationship and in fact had no discernable personality. The lie was pointless and clumsy. The sex scenes were just kind of ok with a lot of position flipping and some immersion breaking squicky activities. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. I have read worse though.

Naughty but nice
A lawyer, Layla, decides to open a cupcake shop with her old college pal Teague, after losing her job chasing after a perverted boss with a stapler. The Cupcakery is doing really well until the owner of the building gives them notice that he's selling up. Layla has a secret crush on a well to do customer, Max, who she worships from afar, in the sanctuary of her kitchen. Bea, a friend who owns the shop next door asks Layla to attend a party, pretending to be her and suffice to say Max is there and one thing leads to another. As a businessman he wants to diversify and puts in an offer on the premises housing the Cupcakery, unbeknownst to Layla and Teague. After a few dates together Layla introduces Max to Teague and they hit it off really well. To try and raise the money to outbid the so far unknown purchaser of their building, they decide to enter a cupcake competition and one of their rivals is Max's delusional ex girlfriend. This turns into a nightmare for all concerned as accusations fly left, right and centre. There is a hea and a whole lot more to this story, which I read as an ARC for giving a true review, so I hope you will buy it and enjoy this as much as I did. Once again Nicole is on fire.

Mouth watering!
The book is quirky, sexy and funny. I found Layla hilarious, especially in the opening chapter with the stapler!I love how Nicole portray's Angelique and the depths she will go to get her man will leave you laughing and shaking your head. I have to say, after reading this book, I am tempted to try and find out if there is anyone that actually bakes the flavours of cupcakes that are mentioned as they left my mouth watering!

Enjoyable
I received an ARC copy for an honest review. This book took me longer to get into than Nicole's other books. I was irritated with the characters flaws, however they make for an eventful story. Layla, Teague and Max have great chemistry the sex scenes are steamy.
