Kuretake ZIG Cartoonist, Mangaka Flexible, Fine Black (CNMF-010)

Unlike my other illustration markers/pens, this one doesn't bleed through! It's amazing.

I like that the pen lays down a smooth, black line and the point is just flexible enough. I pretty sure it's waterproof, though I haven't tested that yet. My only complaint is that the ink lifts, when I erase my stray pencil. In some areas, it comes completely off the page and I have to remember what I drew. As an illustrator of comic art, this has become a deal-breaker for me. Too much time is wasted redrawing instead of moving to the next page.

First saw doodle date using this and instantly wanted to buy this oen.I would rate this more than 5 stars if I could!!!I've gone through many pens and liners and never found one that I felt comfort with. For some reason the Sakura Micron pens never personally worked for me (they could work for you! Everyone has different likings and feelings on variables that they like about a pen.) and I was debating whether to get a copic liner or the Unipin ones and I decided to get a liner rather than various pen sizes since it would be cheaper and it can add line variations with pressure. I'm glad I made this decision. I've noticed that the ink can spread with printer paper so I'd suggest to get some kind of sketchbook that has a bit more weight and thickness. Nothing too fancy. For reference I'm using Strathmore Toned Tan paper.

Got this pen for my daughter since she's the artist in the family. She can't stop raving about it. Draws fine lines and shades really good.

I've bought the 3 pack because I like it that much! Great for lines thick or thin. I leave the marker for last when working with copics because it can still pick up in some places especially thicker lines but I love it overall!

Absolutely love this pen! The nib is slightly flexible which makes it easy to get line variation. Unlike a brush nib, this gives you more control of when you want to have a thick or thin line. The ink comes out nicely, not dry at all! I’d highly recommend this to anyone and will purchase again. Also, I’d like to note that this is a water based pigment pen but I use watercolor and have had very little issue with this ink smudging with water.

The Kuretake Zig's flexible point gives it a versatility and ease of use that I've rarely encountered in similar pens. I put it to use almost immediately after receiving it, doing commission sketches at a comic convention almost non-stop, and it made it through the whole weekend with ink to spare! Yes, the point began wearing down a bit after many hours of use, but that's to be expected. I still continued to use it.

I got this pen because I need a waterproof ink that could be accessible at all times since I have art classes. The ink stays dark and doesn't fade and it's 100% waterproof. The nib of the pen doesn't fray or break up like most "fine liners" and the line variation that you get is superb. It's better than buying a multi pack of different varieties of sizes because it's an all in one type of pen. Really enjoy using it! All in all a good pen

I love this pen, it is very flexible and has a healthy variation of the width of lines depending on how you press; sometimes i feel like the Pentel Pocketbrush pen has too much of a difference between thickness and is difficult compared to this one. i recommend getting this for beginners and intermediate artists alike.

I absolutelylove these pens for line work or word art it's the perfect inbetween. The ink is solid and doesn't run if you put light water colour on top so long as the ink is 100% dry

Writes smoothly, lovely dark ink, comfortable to hold even for a long time. Great pen for the price.

Amazing marker pen, and doing drawing with this, is truly enjoyable and honestly I'm looking to buy these at least 4 -5 times again, I so enjoy drawing with this, and for any artist out there I have no doubt you will to, stop reading just buy Haha!

great for people who like the idea of brush pens, but want a bit more control. Can get a nice line variation with this pen.
