Thank you for writing this book
My daughter just became a vet and this was a gift to her - it is truly an amazing and giving profession and there is a lot of stress that you have to deal with and the pay sucks and on top of that you have to deal with people who treat the vets like they are mistreating their pets. Sad. People need to learn that these vets spend years going through school and taking on huge debts just to help animals and then they have to deal with a low paying job.. Don't ever think vets are making money - a typical clinic makes only a 5-10% profit margin - think about that!! I am so glad this lady wrote this book.

Worth it
Definitely worth a read. Valuable info. Does get a bit “dry” at points but worth the read.

Too expensive and not really helpful
The book is not very well written, it is difficult to read at times, and in some places lacks sufficient proof-reading. The price is too high for the contents of the book. The book concentrates too much on explaining what is burnout and describing the problems in veterinary business that lead to it but it does not concentrate enough on resolving those problems. There is a section at the end which is meant to give solutions and exercises to help but it does not feel like it is enough, furthermore the book does say that if the material provided is not enough then you should go the the author’s website were you can purchase other materials or one to one sessions which makes me feel like I paid over £20 for the book to get an advert of the author’s website. Not satisfied with the contents of the book.
