I find when I buy them on sale or in packages of 3, they are lousy pens. They skip, you have to shake them to write or don’t flow. Why is this?

I love this pen especially the fine point. I have not had a problem with them and have been using them for quite a long time. Is it possible the ones you purchased were old stock?

Yes acid free it is permanent but needs dry time Only about 5 to 10 secs at most depending on paper
